It was alright, 1/15/2013

I stopped by because i thought i had some time to kill, it took forever! i did get my front tires rotated and i did get the oilchange i went in for originally. i walked around and i was so bored.


Be careful reading reviews, 2/09/2012

Anyone knows to be careful about reading reviews. Most of the time they are angry customers that got upset about needing to spend money on their car. I know these guys up there. They have serviced my... whole fleet for over two years. Are they the least expensive? No! However, see what happens when they need to stand by work that they did. They ALWAYS take care of any situation that may have arisen after work has been done. I have only had one issue and it was handled immediately with out any questions asked. Brian Pitt is awesome with customer service and management. If you want shade tree mechanics, this is not the place to go. Remember, cheaper is not always better. If you would stop using a company that you were previously happy with, only because of a delay in time for and oil change, I feel badly for you. Another thought, everyone is Human and mistakes can and most likely will happen from time to time. Nobody is perfect!! If you ever get angry with them, say something. Chances are very great that you will leave happy. Always remember, leave the attitude at home and approach any disappointment with tact and you will be surprised how it is handled. Nobody likes to be attacked or abused by an irrational customer and you know that this exists with many customers. BTW, I am NOT a Kauffman employee, I promise. This is just a helpful bit of advise.

Fantastic!!!

This is a very busy location. I came in at closing for a flat repair and although they were very busy they told me they would stay late and get my tire fixed! The manager Brian was very friendly and I will be back for tires!!! Thank you Brian!

Complete lack of regard for customer

I have used Kauffman Tire many times, at this location and others. I have previously been pleased with service. This location recently changed management. I waited neatly 2 hours for a basic oil change and rotation. At nearly 2 hours of waiting in the waiting area, I checked the status to be informed "they are just about to start." The Asst. manager was the person who took my request, and later told me they hadn't begun. At no point did anyone show any concern or even tell me I would wait 2 hours before even starting! When I said I had to leave for a meeting, the Asst manager made no apology and showed no concern. The manager heard the situation and made no comment. I will not return to kauffman. This was an inexcusable way to treat anyone, especially a repeat customer.

I'm not stupid!

Dropped my car off for an oil change and to check my radiator. My car would heat up a bit when I was at a long stop. The tech first told me I would need a new radiator and he suggested new hoses and thermastat. This would be $750. I called around and was told repeatedly that it would be much less if I even need that. I called to ask KT what it would be for just the new radiator. He insisted I must get a new thermastat also, because it is sticking. NO IT'S NOT! I ended up filling up my fluids MYSELF and my car has been running fine for over a month now. No new radiator OR thermastat. I really think they think if you are a woman, you would never doubt them.

Great Customer Service!!!

These guys are great, and very friendly. I don't feel as if they are trying to rip me off. Zero pressure from them when I'm in the store. I will be a customer for life because of the way I'm treated when I go there.

crews need some training..

Went there to replace all 4 tires. They didn't balance my tires. They even didn't put correct pressures. I ended up going to another KT location to balance and fix the pressures (have lifetime balancing with them).

rip off city

in 2001 they tried to tell me I need $900 work done to front end, dealer later found NOTHING WRONG. In 2007 my daughter carried in her car for brakes and was told she needed $800 brake work done and her car was unsafe. Dealer found all she needed was shoes, less than $100. Females and the lederly should be extra careful Kauffman tire really likes to rip them off!

Aweful

I went to Kauffman for a tire rotate and balance and oil change. They put the wrong size oil filter on my car which is a Honda Accord ( how can you mess that up). This caused me to have oil leak all over my engine and run out of oil also. When I called they offered to do nothing about it. I give them 1 star.
