Kauffman Tire

I used to spend a lot of time looking for deals when I needed auto service and I've ended up using various providers who had a good promotion but didn't deliver on good service. Now I've exclusively used Kauffman for about a year and I always leave feeling confident that I received high quality service for a fair price. The staff are friendly, professional and knowledgeable, and are always very courteous. I've never had any problems, and I'm so glad that I can stop looking! I plan on always using this Kauffman.

Advertised a discount, part which was a service coupon, and it expired too quickly, nor was the expiration advertised, only learned after the service was complete.

So disappointing! Some time back Kauffman fixed my flat for free so I decided to return when I needed new tires. I made a reservation and selected tires online, which was about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. When I arrived, there were a handful of extra charges to add to the total, and it took more than an hour for my car to be pulled into the bay. As I write (from my cell -- no wifi or even enough chairs for waiting customers) it's 2+ hours and counting, and I was just told it's at least an hour to go; tires only, no rocket science or extra services involved. If I ever get out of here, I'm never coming back. Ever.

I originally went into Kauffman, because I had a flat, and they convinced me that I needed four new tires. I bought four tires from them, but every month after that, one would go flat. They would look at the tire and tell me that I had damaged it on a nail and it wasn't repairable and that my warranty didn't cover that kind of damage, or if it did, I'd have to pay something. I don't live in a construction area and have no idea how I could have gotten eight nails in my tires over an eight month period (I once asked them to show me the nail, and they threw it away). The next time my tire went flat, I went to a different tire place, and they told me all that was wrong with the tire was a leaky valve! And I just had my 82K service done elsewhere on my Pilot, and the guy told me that two of my tires are worn out and coming apart and need to be replaced. He said that Kauffman obviously never rotated or balanced my tires, and that they sold me shoddy ones. He said places like theirs often screw over women. Don't go there!!!

I needed 4 new tires and they were available here without ordering, which was great. What was not great was that I was told it should take about 1 to 1.5 hours to get that done, but ended up waiting about 2.5 hours to have them put on. But they weren't the right size. So 2 weeks later, I was told it should take about 1 to 1.5 hours for them to correct the error but ended up waiting 3 hours. I am glad that they fixed it, but it was not convenient for me at the time. In the store they advertise 39 minute tire changes or you get $39 back, but when asked about this, they fed me some line about how the latest tires were an upgrade, as if they were doing me a favor. I don't recommend them mainly because the store manager doesn't understand customer service and he sure can't estimate time very well. He wasn't rude, but he did show me that he wasn't interested in a long term business relationshipand that is alright with me -- I can probably get things done faster elsewhere. By the way, I am confident that all of the great reviews here are the friends/employees of the shop -- everyone that I saw waiting both times were extremely frustrated and ready to leave. I do not believe my experiences at this place were abnormal for them.
