Spring 2008 Graduate of KSU
I attended KSU from Spring 2005 until just this past May 2008 when I graduated with honors with a double major of Computer Science and Information Security. I am a Non-Traditional Student, in other words I was 37 when I made a decision to return to college for an updated degree. The class sizes are usually limited to no more than 45 students, with most being around 35 when they begin. Yes, there are some classes of 100+ students, such as American Government, however this is NOT the case with most classes. While attending KSU I worked as a Student Teaching Assistant as well as a Student Mentor for several younger students. I was involved in several student organizations including ISSA and ABLE and found the student body to be well rounded and diversified. The student body consists of students from more than 140 countries and the faculty nearly as many. If you are looking a 'Party' school KSU is not the place as there are very few on campus living students due to the nature of the campus. KSU has been a commuter school for many years but this is slowly changing. If you are looking for a state university where you can learn and grow KSU should be at the top of your list.
