I have AHS and I always request Kenneth Buggay when I have air/heating issues. This last time they were on hold with AHS, which I understand. So, I had to use another company. The company came out and replaced the bad part. Then told me I needed 2lbs of coolant R22 which is getting phased out. They were going to charge me $140 a lb. This didn't sound right, so I declined to have them fill. I then called Kenneth and talked with Ed. He was very informative and said they are charging $80. He also helped explain some other things. I really appreciate that he took the time, even though the ticket was not with them. I am going to call AHS and have my ticket transferred to them when their hold comes off in 2days. Even if I can't transfer, it would still be cheaper to have Kenneth come out not using AHS. I know I can trust the work and professionalism of Kenneth and Ed!

I had KB install a furnace a few years ago. I'm in the process of selling my house and the inspector wrongly said the furnace wasn't installed properly. Even I knew enough to see that it was correct but Kenneth came out anyway and signed off, no charge, on the proper installation plus while he was here he wrapped a vent pipe, no charge. Really appreciate his follow up.

I awoke to my heater not working. I then called my home warranty company and was assigned to Buggay Mechanical. In the meantime, I was able to do something to the furnace that I thought fixed the problem, but would take some time to see if it did. I went back to my job and. Around 3p, I called the warranty company and cancelled the service call, as the furnace was back to working properly. Shortly thereafter, I noted a voicemail from an unknown number. Well, it was a voicemail from Ed at Kenneth Buggay Mechanial, who informed me that I didn't have enough "sense" to know if my furnace worked or not. He also added I didn't know how to pick up the phone. Further, he told me that if anything ever happened again, to make sure his company was not assigned the task, so I didn't "waste his time" Are you kidding me? The claim was filed at 7a and Ed's first phone call was 11a, so his response time leaves something to be desired. I wasn't exactly staring at my phone for hours waiting for him to do me the honor of responding to my request. Also, he called twice. A real waste of time would be for me to have him come all the way to my house for something that I was ultimately able to resolve (thus the reason for my delay in calling back and ultimately cancel with the warranty company), Apparently these guys 1) have zero value in / respect for potential customers and 2) have more business than the can handle. Save YOURSELF some time and go somewhere else

We had another HVAC company come out to our home to do warranty work. We got denied, I requested a second opinion and asked for Ken Buggay to come out. Well all I have to say is they are the best. They got us approved, most honest, professional group out there. Finally cold AC. Thank you again.

Ken came out for an AHS service call on my gas furnace, was able to come out much quicker than expected, he was friendly and professional. The whole transaction exceeded my expectations.

Kenneth Buggay Mechanical was called out to my Mom's home by our home warranty company. One of the AC units was not cooling. Service tech fabricated report and resulted in denial of coverage. After some effort, I had the warranty company to send another AC company. They did an honest appraisal which resulted in the repairs being approved. I'm sure Buggay simply wanted to take the service call fee and not have to deal with the repair. He probably does the work at a discounted rate for the warranty company and because of the hot weather right now he has plenty of other work that he can do for full price. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY! As a result of this,I understand that the warranty company is placing them on the Do Not Use listing.

Last year, KB was sent by my warranty company for a heater replacement. That went fine and I was pleased with the work (at the time, they didn't take credit cards, and I wasn't aware, so I was lucky to have the cash needed for the upgrade work after it was completed. Unsure if that has changed). I have been contacted by Ed, the office manage this year for air service. I won't go into the details, but in trying to set an appointment with a crazy schedule, he was very rude to me because I was going to have to call back after checking the available times with my husband. He wanted a time and date right then. I tried to explain to him, the rudeness continued and I finally said I didn't appreciate his tone. With comments like "we have plenty of customers without your business if you don't want us to do this" I asked to speak to Mr. Buggay (I don't want his business to suffer since he does good work, but he needs to address this with his employee). I was told that he (Ed) ran the office and hung up on! Since I am certain that the message that I would like to speak to Mr. Buggay will not be delivered, I am using this route to ask Mr. Buggay to contact me since calling the office (Ed) is the only contact listed. His work was good, but this issue dropped the ratings significantly until it can be resolved. If it can't, I guess I'll be contacting my home warranty organization. If I'm contacted, I will update this review. If not - beware - you'll do it Ed's way or not at all.

Kenneth has installed units and performed service at my home for several years. I've found him to be honest and reliable. As mentioned in another review, he doesn't try to sell things we don't need and if something isn't working correctly, he is quick to come back and take care of it. He is also very fair with his pricing. I would strongly recommend him to anyone.

KB called out through home warranty. 1 month, 3 recalls later. Bathroom ceiling, etc has to be replaced due to excessive water from AC unit. Didn't address root cause (excessive condensation or freeze) or symptom (pan overflow or leak). Called KB. Ed advises Ken refuses to return call.

We found Kenneth Buggay after a series of bad experiences with larger companies. He is honest, hard working, reasonably priced and stands behind his work. He has never tried to sell us anything we didn't need and always does his very best to save his customers money by repairing instead of replacing. If he worked with plumbing and electrical as well, we would never have to visit Kudzu!
