Look around for other doctors
I saw Dr. King at the Snellville location. If you are looking for a GI doctor, look elsewhere. Dr. King refuses to call his patients back and doesn't allow for the patient being involved in decisions about medical care.

One word, " Next "
If you like a doctor who considers you a number in his paycheck, this is him. I have seen him twice and tried to talk to him about my problem but he never listened or responded to any of my comments, like talking to a wall. I am going to request my primary care doctor to recommend someone else and I will tell others to not bother. People that go to see a GI should feel they can talk and explain their individual situation. We are not all the same and we are not all a number in line or a number on a paycheck.

Recommended
He has been my doctor for 8 years through quite a few appointments and procedures. My experience has been that when I follow his treatment and advice, I get along fine. I have recommended him to others, and will continue to do so.

This is not the doctor for you
While other physicians refer to him as the "best" GI in Gwinnett, we have been very unhappy with treatment received. Husband had lots of gastric issues - some medication related - and King did several procedures. After one procedure we had issues with the meds he prescribed so we made an appointment. This appointment was before the "labs" were back from the procedure, but we knew that and needed to discuss the medication, not the lab results. He actually refused to see us. Stood outside the door practically yelling at the nurse that he didn't have the labs back and that we shouldn't be there. The poor nurse went in and out several times as we tried to communicate to him that we didn't care to talk about the labs at all, but needed help with the prescriptions. We didn't see him - ever again. He left town (unannounced to his patients) for about 6 months. Just generally unprofessional and lacking in bedside manner.

Careful here
Referred for basic screening that us 50 year olds need. Dr. King was nice, office well organized, no problems with insurance, but sure didn't like the way the test was performed. Assembly-line service, poor after care, problems that shouldn't have occurred. Will look for another MD the next time.
