I have been in the nursing profession in a hospital for many years. In 1994 Dr. Kirksey did my braces when I was in my early thirties. My teeth were severely crowded with upper fangs on both sides. All my life I had been self conscious about them. Dr. Kirksey was very patient and careful with my treatment. He was also very gentle when he removed my wisdom teeth after my orthodontic treatment. However, he was able to do my braces without removing any other of my permanent teeth. I was so happy with how pretty my teeth were when my orthodontic treatment was completed. My teeth still look and feel wonderful to this day. The result brightened my whole life. Since then our family moved to Fredericksburg. I have maintained my strong confidence in Dr. Kirksey and his office staff, most of who have been with him for many years. This confidence comes from the honest recommendations and excellent results Dr. Kirksey provides our family and his other patients. His fees have been reasonable with flexible payment plans to fit our budget. Dr. Kirksey later did braces on my oldest son who had the identical severe condition that I had. This son now attends college and his teeth still look and function beautifully. Dr. Kirksey is just now commencing orthodontic treatment on our teenage son and one of our two young daughters. I know he appreciates our family and we appreciate him.

I made the mistake of getting my ortho treatment with Dr. Kirksey. He is extremely rude to his staff and even his customers! I have overheard him several times yelling at kids because they were crying. He also is a crook! Not only did he take almost an extra year (extra $600 in cleanings alone), the day my braces came off he told me that my two front teeth were too big but that could be fixed for $3K! DO NOT USE HIM!

Dr. Kirksey has been very good with my children. They are very positive and are very good at alleviating anxiety. My son is 10 but has had some substantial work done, so he tends to get very nervous. They are very patient and positive and put him at ease. I am so glad I found Dr. Kirksey's office and recommend him to everyone.

I believe Dr. Kirksey is a crook and a masochist. My daughter needed emergency care the day after a major holiday and he opened the office for us (we were new patients). However, when he showed up,I was instantly put off by his appearance. He looked unkept, scruffy, dirty even. However, my daughter needed care. He advised us to remove ALL of her wisdom teeth at one time and he gave her a root canal. Yelled at her several times during the procedure. Yelled at his son who was assisting (not sure whether or not he was licensed to do so)and he even removed the gas from my daughter's face and he yelled at her when she protested because she was in pain!!!! This man is horrible and only wants money. I believe he is very unethical and I strongly advise you to avoid this man like the plague.

Charles Kirksey is quite possibly the worst dentist ever. He was incredibly rude to myself and his staff. He continuously was yelling at his staff telling them they didn't know how to do their jobs. He yelled at me started the procedure before I was completely numb then yelled at me for cringing. He was rude, arrogant, and treated me as though I was a waste of his time. He threatened to stop the procedure half way through, according to him I don't know how to breath properly. His aid gave me too much laughing gas, and he made me close my eyes so he could point it out to her! He was insane, and I refuse to see him for my follow up appointment.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Charles Kirksey. He is incredibly rude, arrogant and belligerent - and his dental skills are questionable. I ended up having my orthodontic work done by a different orthodontist. I told her about the treatment plan that Dr. Kirksey had outlined, and she couldn't believe the amount of unnecessary additional time and cost he added. Dr. Charles Kirksey has no idea what he's doing. And he's a jerk to boot.

CARING AND PROFESSIONAL As a child, I had numerous problems with my teeth. My parents were unable to pay. As an adult I found a dentist who could get rid of the blemishes and make my teeth pretty. I first saw Dr. Kirksey about 15 years ago, for a free consult. He listened to my concerns about the problems with my teeth. Dr. Kirksey made a plan with a cost that I could pay for. His prices were very reasonable. Dr. Kirksey was very gentle. After several appointments my teeth looked beautiful. I was astounded that he could make them look so wonderful. There were no more blemishes or dark marks on my teeth. Now I smile with confidience. Dr. Kirksey's work has stood up so well that for the last 14 years I only get my two cleanings and a flouride each year. Also Dr. Kirksey did braces on my young son who had very crooked teeth. Dr. Kirksey straightened my son's teeth. My son is now in his 20's and his teeth are still straight and handsome. I can recommend Dr. Kirksey as a fair dentist who cares about making his patients happy. Treatment Length with Dr. Kirksey: 15 YEARS.

I had a very negative experience with this doctor. I brought my daughter for a routine check up, and the doctor did not even check her teeth for cavities, e.t. all he did is to give me a 30 mins sales pitch about why I have to spend $4,500 on my child's braces (her teeth are not bad, and our previous dentists did not recommend braces). When I told Dr. Kirksey that I have to think about the braces, and will not make a decision right away, he became very aggravated and started raising his voice. He was very stresses out that his sales pitch did not work. He submitted my daughter to the numerous x-rays (turns out, purely for the braces purpose, not the check up purpose), and took the prints of her teeth (which was very traumatic for my daughter, I told him that she has a strong gagging reflex). He did all those tests even though I told the doctor I'm not sure I want the braces yet. I will not go back to that doctor again...ever.
