I, for one, love Aces. It's hard to get me to leave the EAV, but this is one reason I'll cross Memorial. The food is great, the atmosphere rules, and despite the comments below, Josh is a good guy and runs a good bar. The service might be a little slow, but what do you expect from a bar??? Try the cheese curds. Watch out for their special events - "Cinco de Moustache" and Oktoberfest are loads of fun! My only complaint would be to bring back trivia :)

I'm very excited to have moved within walking distance of Aces bar and grille! Burgers were very good, so were the onion rings. Service is very relaxed, don't expect super attentive service, but it was more than adequate. My husband can't wait for Trivia night! He loved the black and white trash beer! :-)

We've been to Aces a few times and the food and atmosphere are great! Great little spot for a sandwich or beer or both. The only drawback is that after you order your food, be prepared to wait, and then wait some more. VERY slow food service, but it is generally worth it as the food is great. Salads are really fresh and outstanding. They have a veggie sandwich that is incredible as well. With they would have more appetizer options, though. Check it out, you will be glad you did, but make sure you've got some time.

I love Aces Bar & Grill! The food is amazing, and every time I go there I feel extremely comfortable. The patrons are great and have lots to say as well as the bartenders. You can go and have a casual evening or a rowdy one if that's what you want too. The trivia on Wednesdays is a blast! I have not stayed late enough for the karoke afterwards, but I heard it's a blast too. Aces also has an awesome juke box! You can play anything from Punk to Country to good old Rock n' Roll. I love this place! Reading the other review, it made me sad. This is busniess trying to make it in an up and coming neighborhood. They are doing their best, and it's a great best at that. I wish more people would try out Kirkwood Aces Bar & Grill.

What a promising little bar and grill! Too bad the owner is a real jerk. While enjoying my lunch and a brew one afternoon, my friends and I noticed an argument brewing over at the bar. It seemed that the patrons at the bar wished to view a Braves game on the television (afterall, we ARE in Atlanta!), however the rude little man bartending refused to change the station from his Red Sox game. After his volume increased, everyone in the place became aware that the man was, obviously, from New England somewhere. When the patrons called him on his rediculous behavior, he became violent - physically grabbing a beer out of one of the girls' hand!! Shortly after the confrontation, we learned that this man, Josh, is the owner of the establishment. Upon further investigation, we've since learned that we're not the only people who've witnessed Josh's nasty behavior (on the other side of the bar as well). This place HAD potential until it became too much of hang-out for it's ugly owner. Neither I, nor my friends will ever attend Aces Bar and Grill again. In fact, I take every opportunity I can to "spread the news". Hey Josh - GO HOME.

In response to this unflattering review, I would like to elaborate on the events that led to this woman being escorted out of the bar. I was quietly watching a Red Sox game on one of the bar televisions when one of the patrons demanded to watch the Braves game. Since there are three televisions in the bar, I told her I'd be happy to put the Braves game on the other two TV's, and proceeded to scroll through the Direct TV menu to find out what channel the Braves were on. Apparently, the Braves weren't even playing, which I explained to this woman, who wasn't coherent enough to even understand that her team was not on. She then went on a tirade of vile profanities directed towards me, including (and I quote) "F*CK YOU, YOU YANKEE, WHY DON"T YOU GO BACK UP NORTH WHERE YOU BELONG!" She also refused to pay her $40 tab, so I took her drink out of her hand and escorted her out. As far as I'm concerned, she's lucky I didn't have her and her friend arrested. So if that makes me a jerk, so be it. For any potential customers who read this and are worried about a negative experience at Aces, I can assure you that everyone here at Aces tries to be as accomodating as possible, but we don't tolerate beligerent customers who are predjudiced against where someone is from and then refuse to pay their tab
The cheeseburgers are really very good. We also got rings - however, mine were either overdone or underdone. My husband got the ones that were "just right" - they were pretty tasty (his, not mine). I suggest take out as there isn't much going on inside - no music & the tv sound was off (had some sport show & a game show).
