I'm Disappointed in You Knitch
I used to LOVE Knitch. In fact - I've spent THOUSANDS of dollars there - more when I was married and wealthy- and as I've gotten divorced and then become ill - I've spent less.

Now that I'm sick - I actually knit more - meaning I buy yarn and have time on my hands - but I don't take as many CLASSES and I don't go to the store as often for the fun hanging out.

Here's the problem. Lately - because I've been ill - my parents or friends have been driving me and I've been less "independent" than I've wanted - I cannot take their classes anymore - though I have taken MANY of them in the past. When I have questions now - they are very tight lately on the phone and in person - and say, "We'd prefer you take a class because we feel taken advantage of by so many customers."

I'm disappointed with their new "less than customer friendly" attitudes. I've been here since the beginning. I spend money. Shame on you for not answering a few questions to someone who has HELPED MAKE YOU A SUCCESS.

I REALLY loved the old space and still love the new space. I enjoyed the staff and even now they know my name and generally are helping finding things in my ability range for knitting. Here's the problem. Lately - because I've been ill - my parents or friends have been driving me and I've been less "independent" than I've wanted.. but when I get out - I still enjoy shopping and plundering through their yarns. I don't get as much help from friends and "stitch and bitches" b/c I don't go out as much. So when I have questions - they are very stingy lately - and say, "We'd prefer you take a class because we feel taken advantage of." Now-- I can understand that IF I wasn't buying my yarn from your shop and IF I hadn't been a LOYAL CUSTOMER since the DAY YOU OPENED. Meanwhile -- I can't get all my help from online tutorials. I get stuck occasionally. It is in your best interest to HELP ME on a slow day to read a confusing pattern and maybe help me unravel something that got stuck so I can figure it out. I'm disappointed with their new "less than customer friendly" attitudes. I get that they can't knit my whole project - but just today I left with 2 balls of yarn that cost FAR MORE than it would have at Michaels or another "box shop." Why? Because I want to support my local shop. If I have questions - you should be willing to ANSWER THEM. This hurts me to write. I like Kim (the owner). I love some of the staff but -- I'm also hurt and offended by the new less than pleasant and kind treatment. I'm NOT just someone who gives you money. I'm a LOCAL CUSTOMER who wants to see my neighborhood stay wonde...

Great Yarn Shop
I just took the "Learn to Knit" class at Knitch Knitting in June and had a wonderful experience. As an expecting Mom I wanted to learn to knit a baby blanket and now have the necessary skills after just 2 afternoon sessions. The teacher was so nice and patient. I enjoyed my time here and will be back for my future knitting needs. The store has a huge selection of beautiful yarn.

Best Yarn Shop in Atlanta!
Huge selection of beautiful yarn. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff that doesn't "hover", but lets you shop. Always seems to be lots of folks sitting around the big farmhouse table knitting. Great place to shop, hang out, and oh yeah, the coffee is awesome!

Service is very disappointing
I have been a customer of Knitch for several months now. While it is truly an unbelievable store with some of the most beautiful yarn I have ever seen, the prices match the beauty and the service is horrible. I have been in the store more than a dozen times and the only time people are friendly is when the owner is there. If you are a new knitter, prepare to feel out of place. Also, although they say they will wind your yarn, they really don't like to, so if you ask them to wind it prepare for the attitude that will be coming your way -- especially if you have a large project.

--Friendly Knit Shop Wanted!!
