After being a patient for nearly seven years with insurance, I am finally fed up with their horrendous billing practices and complete disregard for the respectable treatment of longstanding customers/patients. Myself, my wife and my two children have all been loyal patients and we've always paid our bills. As a professional I have always made it a priority to handle all of our bills and never leave anything unpaid. When I stopped to take the time out of my business schedule to make an appointment for my child, I was basically road-blocked and told I could not make an appointment over a $20 bill that insurance hadn't covered. Ironically I was just at one of their other locations and received services not even 1-2 weeks ago. I asked if I had any balance or needed to pay and I was told that I owed nothing and that no balance was due. What sense does it make to deny a family or a person an appointment over $20 ??? Honestly why not make the patient an appointment and when they check in - advise them that they'll have to pay the bill before treatment. Even more sensible, how about you refrain from denying the patient an appoint or treatment if the bill is less than $100 There are at least 4 other dermatology service providers in Knoxville. If you're looking for a respectable service provider. LOOK ELSEWHERE!
