Transform Yourself - Really!
Wow! How things have changed! I guess I'm lucky because I joined when the new management came on board. I've had nothing but success there. I agree that it is intense, but I don't agree that it isn't for newbies or those who are not in shape. I am absolutely convinced that I would not be where I am today without Knuckleup Fitness and especially Stephen, Phillip and Mo. The classes, the boot camps, the Biggest Losers Challenges have all kept me not just in shape, but motivated and interested and having fun. When I joined in October last year I weighed around 250 pounds and wore a women’s size 18. Now I’m down to 174 and wearing a regular size 10. I couldn’t finish a whole class, now I’m able to not only finish the classes, but do pretty much all the exercises. Yes, it was hard, but these guys made it possible for me to start where I was and do as much as I could. They didn’t see my size, they saw my potential and helped me to see it too. I can’t thank them enough. I am really glad I took the 3 year membership. Made it really affordable for me, plus gives me the mind set that this is FOREVER, not just another fad that means I'm going to stop and gain my weight back. If anyone wants to see pictures of one of the boot camps, and my progress in the last year, check out www.getsmartgetstrong.com and search for Boot Camp Last Night.

Contract Reassignment to LA Boxing
I have filed a complaint with the BBB regarding the closing of the Kennesaw location and urge others who feel unjustly treated to do so as well. I have tried cancel my contract through the financing company but no one at the agency can disucss contracts because they claim they do not yet have them. I was initially invoiced by ABC but it is supposedly now Duvera. The Sandy Spring location just wanted to argue about how it's not their problem. I tried to contact the lawyer per the Sandy Springs location, but voice mail was full. All I want is to cancel a contract entered with a party no longer in business. Is that too much to ask? Is it okay for a contract to be assigned to a completely different gym without my permission? This is not a gym I would reccommend to anyone at this point.

DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT HERE
Cancelled in 2007 when moved away to college, now 21 months later they have just taken money from my bank account. RUN AWAY.

They stated they just took money from every former member from 2005 - 2007 who's cancellation they did not "recognize".

Do not do business with this company.

Do not join KnuckleUp
KnuckleUp is the shadiest, most poorly-run and most unethical business I have ever had the displeasure of patroning. I was a member for over a year and participated in their boot camp, brining in a few friends with me. The boot camp instructor cornered me while I was working out one night to pay for a second session of boot camp (that I was planning on doing, but was it really appropriate to ask me for money while I’m working out?!), and 3 days later a holiday special came out for the boot camp. After they initially resisted giving me the discount, I went as high as the COO to finally get it (and he was still even explaining to me why they shouldn’t be giving me the discount). Additionally, the COO lied to me twice about when he sent me my refund. I was so annoyed by that point that I wanted out of the boot camp, and they would not let me out, even though it was before the boot camp started. They basically stole my money. I immediately canceled my gym membership (luckily, my membership had just become month-to-month). I emailed the person in charge of cancellations, but by 2 days before my membership should have terminated, she still had not even initiated the termination. I had to call 5 times to actually get someone else to cancel my membership. These guys have no business sense or ethics. Stay away. X3 is MUCH better.

It's a sad sutation
I've been a member for two years and at the end got treated by the corporate like I was no one. That is so sad. I called about a situation with my account and they wouldn't even let me speak to anyone, just "send an email" crap. It's horrible that you spend so much on them and at the end they keep on trying to take even more. I will never go back there and I am suggesting that you don't either. There are other places that give you more for your money.
