The music at the Toco Hills location is too loud. I've been told that only the manager has the ability to turn it down but unfortunately that person is rarely there. I really don't like the selection of music they play. I bring my own music (as do most of the guests) but I have to turn up the volume to a deafening level to drown out the LA Fitness play list. Also, I agree that the facility is not that clean but at least it's better than the Tucker location. I'm looking for a different gym.

The Trainers Are Only Paid $6.00 per session!!! The problem that I am having with LA Fitness" training program is that they are not retaining their trainers. Do you realize that out of the $30 dollars that you pay per session, the trainers only receive $6? That's less than 25%. LA Fitness cites insurance fees and equipment maintenance costs as the reason they are collecting the bulk of the money, but aren't those covered by my main membership? Plus, I'm less likely to injure myself or damage the equipment if I'm working with a trainer. The trainer has all the knowledge, all the experience; is the one giving all the time; is the one that gets to know the trainee, his/her fitness goals, his/her special needs etc.; is the one who develops a relationship with his/her trainee; and yet the trainer is the one who's collecting the equivalent of a finder's fee. That's why they can't retain trainers. If I had known this before I signed on, then I wouldn't have signed on. Every time I have to switch trainers, my fitness progress suffers a major setback. Then I have to get to know a new trainer all over again, or more importantly, they have to get to know me. Don't sign up for the training sessions if you want any consistency at all. (My rating above refers only to their TRAINING PROGRAM)

after I canceled my membership for few months... they started calling at least 3 times a day trying to get me to reinstate...I was told that I only have to pay my regular monthly payments.... and I was stupid enough and did it two days later my account was charged another amount when I called customer service they said well that is the policy and I have to call the local gym; I did and the (CLUB DIRECTOR) was telling that I just wasn't listening to him and he explained everything over the phone.... _well maybe he did but I guess I probably don't speak his language_... overall the club is crowded most of the time you do have to wait for equipments for a period of time (since most members) use machines for over 20 mn....women (all shapes) walk naked (comfortably) in the locker room... also lot of ladies will use the sauna while listening to loud music or talking on cellphones..... will be definitely my last time using LA FINTNES.... the staff at the club and the corporate office have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AT ALL...also they will call you saying they're running special (promotions) but everyone gives a different price.... one will say $145 registration fee the other can let you have it for only $99 while another one might let get it FREE.... so be careful dealing with these people

Terrible / Rude customer service. I have my membership through my office, but added my wife on to the account out of my own pocket. Trying to cancel that account has been the most painful experience I have ever had with a gym. I will never set foot inside another LA Fitness again b/c of this. My wife has never used the membership and they will not offer any sort of credit towards the account. On top of that, they are charging me for an additional month even though they can clearly see that she has never used the membership in the 10 months that she has had it. Unacceptable. Beware.

I decided to join a LA Fitness in my hometown and switched my membership over when I moved down the street from the Toco Hills Location. I recently cancelled my membership due to the unacceptable service. I will never go back to LA Fitness because of the experience I had with this facility.

My car was recently vandalized at the Toco Hill LA Fitness while I was inside working out. When I told the attendant at the front desk, she replied, "Oh, your car is the second car (broken into) tonight." Later as I was filing the police report, the officer told me that the Toco area is known for break-ins. I know they have parking lot attendants on duty at times...but if they have that much of a problem, and they know it's that much of an issue, why wouldn't they be on duty until the gym closes? Also, wouldn't it be a smart idea to employ video cameras at that location? The gym is okay, and I don't have any complaints about the equipment there, but the service leaves something to be desired. And now that I know my vehicle isn't safe there, I don't know if I'll go back to that particular location...even though it's closest to me.

The gym itself is pretty clean and has plenty of nice equipment. The staff isn't as friendly as some of the other LA Fitnesses in town, but then again, I'm not there to chit chat with the staff. I'm there to work out.

The gym itself is nice, good equipment and nice pool and locker rooms. But the employees there are not so good. They harass you every time you leave, asking "when are you coming back" and "oh, that's not soon enough, come back sooner." They put unnecessary pressure on clients and it make me not want to go back, and that's why I quit that gym. They need to back off!! I would recommend a different gym with trainers and employees who don't make you feel uncomfortable like these people do.

The problem with LA Fitness is the same problem with McDonald's: bigger businesses end up with less customer service. I'm friends with a couple of trainers there and theyre not that happy. I enjoy the people there everyone is mostly cool some of the trainers arent in that great of shape which is ironic and its pretty hard to get equipment unless you go later than everyone else. But over all if your an athlete and know how to work yourself out or your looking for a cheaper place to just have a membership to so you can go once in awhile, this is your spot. Otherwise, you'll feel a little uncomfortable.

Hi. I wrote this review last year and I'm still really disappointed with this club. Hi. I'm a disgruntled LA Fitness member. I like the club, the members, the equipment. I hate the customer service and the personal training. The ratings don't go lower than one star or I'd give a zero. I worked out at this place for a year after quiting my more expensive and far better club. I thought I was getting convienience and savings just no amenities. My biggest mistake was the personal training. It's an enter-only, no-exit agreement and once you're signed on the customer service really, really stops. I was led to believe that sessions are an hour and they are only half that at 30 minutes. I was told that I would get free sessions and that service would never be interrupted even if my trainer was going out of town and that trainers were real professionals, etc, etc. I believed all this because that's what it looked like other clients were receiving. Instead, I have no training and the three sessions where someone showed up were lame. The regional training manager told me to "read my contract." The club training manager told me "tough." The trainers told me "lots of people tell me that they are unhappy, but there's nothing we can do." The management in CA wrote me to say that my contract stands and it seems I'm having a customer service problem. Fraud is a better word. No way never. Do not sign up with LA Fitn
