I visited the lakewood equestrian center to show my son horses and animals and found out the old pony rides had closed but new management was just opening and it was trashy looking, so left. Just very dirty grass dead weeds everywhere just really trashy dirty. So I left and took my son over to see the horses and ran into some really rude people with horses saying this is only for boarders you need to stay over at the pony rides this is private. I believe I saw signs posted opened to public from 8am to 6pm. So I just let it go and found the equestrian center office and asked about how much and how old for my son to ride a horse in a lesson thinking maybe that would be a better pleasant experience for my son. It's 55 dollars. Are you kidding me and that's only for 30 min. With this economy that's a lot of money. So dirty trashy pony rides now, rude boarders, and then expensive equestrian center. I don't recommend this place. It is also very dusty and looks in poor condition.

LEC offers boarding, lessons, training, pony rides and pony parties. New sand footing in all 8 arenas which are watered and drug regulary, have 7 turn outs, stalls cleaned daily, and have lesson horses to teach on. Nice country feel for the casual or show rider. Frwy and shopping close
