Lassiter Animal Hospital has been the only vet and kennel my 15 year old Bishon/Poodle (rescued him when he was three) mix has ever been to and has received excellent care. All the doctors have been very caring during the routine and emergency visits. The front staff is very knowledgeable and if they don't know the answer to my question, they check with the vet and get back to me. Also, the kennel staff always seems happy to see our dog and takes good care of him when he visits. I would definitely recommend this practice.

What a great place to bring your pet, large or small! The staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive to both your pet's needs, as well as your concerns. My cat is usually skittish and timid around strangers but was comfortable around the experienced Veterinarian, Nancy Sorensen, who seems like a real animal lover (not as easy to find as you would expect). Both of the Vets we've visited with over the couple years we've been going have appeared to be naturals, not to mention knowledgeable and easygoing. The rooms are clean, everything appears well-maintained, and the rates and products are fairly priced (and not pushed unnecessarily on your animal if unneeded). Follow-up is always prompt and they send you friendly reminders too. I will continue to bring my lil' guy here even though I'm moving a little farther away, and would suggest it to anyone!

Our family has been going to Lassiter for over 15 years and we have a great experience every time. Easy to schedule an appointment and great at seeing you sooner if you have an emergency.

When we adopted our puppy, we looked around for a vet in our area. The animal shelter recommended Lassiter Animal Hospital and I'm glad they did! I called to make a first time appointment and was able to be seen that same day. The staff are wonderful with animals, friendly, and accommodating. Compared to other vets Ive seen, the overall cost is very affordable. I definitely will stay with Lassiter from now on. A+ across the board!

I have 2 dogs and a cat and having been using Dr.Pifer for years. He is an amazing vet with a terrific staff. Our pets are treated compassionately and we are always treated well by the friendly staff. I would never go any where else. Thanks Lassiter!!!

I am new to this Vet and I have mixed feelings: They seem to do good work and take care of the dog which is most important but at the same time dealing with them is quite painful. The front desk staff is rude and acts as though everyone is a bother. They also give advice contrary to the Vet which makes them look unprofessional. Overall I may use them again for simple things such as shots or in an emergency as they are by my house but just be warned that the Vets do not come out and talk with you and they will send one of their underlings and also, be prepared for an abrasive and unprofessional front desk staff. In all fairness, not all of the front desk is like this but it only takes a couple to make them all look bad. Consider these guys A choice on the list but I would not make them the TOP of the list.

My family had used Lassiter for years, and we were never quite satisfied, but hadn't found a good vet elsewhere. You're ok if you don't see the male vet. I took my dog there (whom they had seen before) because he wasn't acting his normal self. They did some routine work and found swollen lymph nodes indicative of cancer. They called me out of my room (where I was waiting) to discuss something about the dog, and gave my room to another patient. They then proceeded to tell me their diagnosis in the WAITING ROOM which had other people waiting with their pets. They also insisted on starting their chemotherapy right away and did not want me to get a second opinion. When talking to them about the chemotherapy protocol, they did not seem to know it very well, and were uncertain about its success. I ended up taking my dog to UGA's vet hospital for his treatments. Lassister was very unprofessional, and showed extremely bad manners. I have never gone back.

Have had 2 bad experiences here, the first was with a dog that I boarded there for a few days. The dog has been boarded elsewhere previously and was always happy to see me with tail wagging and staff pleased. At Lassiter, I picked up the dog and he was actually shaking when they brought him out with his tail down and a scared look on his face. I said 'why is this dog shaking?' and received no reply - I think he was mistreated. Also, my cat had been injured while outside and the vet suggested 2 surgeries - I called UGA and the vet said "No" - will heal on its own and IT DID! Staff also unfriendly and act like patients are bothering them. BEWARE!

The staff and vets at Lassiter Animal Hospital are wonderful. Drs. Pifer, Sorenson and Stevens are great. Everytime I have taken any of my dogs to them they have been very thorough and pretty much right on target. Dr. Pifer performed surgery on two of my dogs recently and I could not be more pleased with the results! I would recommend Drs. Pifer, Sorenson and Stevens to anyone looking for a great vet. The value for the money is very reasonable compared to all of the other vets I have gone to in the Atlanta region. So, I feel fortunate to have very competent vets at a reasonable cost.

I used them a few years back. Staff sometimes rude.Dr Pifer arrogant and really pushed removing 5 mast cell tumors on different side of body. It seemed cruel and I wanted diagnosis results from biopsy first. Went to UGA and they agreed best to let him live comfortably than torture him. Dr Pifer was "pushing" surgery rather than the more human approach. I have no respect for this vet practice.

I brought my poodle into their Hospital FOUR TIMES and each time, the doctors conducted numerous tests until they were successful. Now, Peaches is on the fast road to recovery! Thanks, Lassiter.
