This place ROCKS with a capital "R"., 6/27/2014

This place ROCKS with a capital "R". I newly purchased my 2004 Honda 750 Aero from a charity organization and brought her in for a once over. Chris, Adam, Judy, and EVERY single person I spoke with... were absolutely amazing. Being a New rider, I did not feel me being a Novice mattered to them and they were extremely gracious about answering all of my questions and getting me on my way with my bike in tip top condition. Another example of their extreme customer service is that when I picked up my bike and rode about 1 mile down the road I had unfortunately ran over a construction nail and was stuck(safely thankfully) on the side of the road. This had nothing to do with their service. This was just a fluke thing that happens. I called LHY to see if they had any suggestions and they sent their van with trailer to get me. Brought me back to the shop and fixed my tube and had me back on my way again. They didn't charge extra for picking me up and just offered it as a fantastic gesture. I am thrilled with my experience at LHY and hope you have the opportunity to work with these guys in the near future. Looking forward to lots of riding time with my Honda 750 Shadow. Thanks LHY!!!!

Editorial review from Citysearch

After some personal word-of-mouth recommendations from riders with a respectable amount of experience, I recently purchased my first motorcycle from LHY. Michael did a great job working with me throughout the sales process. I was impressed with the selection of bikes and parts, the friendly and professional customer service, and the knowledge of the service center staff. Overall, it was a positive purchasing experience. I'll be back to let their experts service the bike, too!

""Bucket Trip""

My wife and I are on what we call my ""Bucket Trip"" around the country on our 2005, 30th Annicersary Goldwing. This is a trip that I had planned with a close friend when we first started riding motorcycles at the age of 19 in 1963. Since I am retired and my wife is semi-retired we decided that it was time to make that Journey of a Lifetime happen. Prior to leaving our home in Bremerton, Washington we had our wing, Baby III, serviced at our local dealership (The Brothers) in Bremerton. We came due for our next 4,000 mile servicing shortly before arriving in the greater Atlanta area. I called Lawrenceville Honda this morning, July 18th, and was told to bring Baby right in. The required servicing was completed in short order and every little thing done to Baby was explained to me in as much detail as I could handle. I am very happy with the work done on my motorcycle as well with the personal service provided by Lawrenceville Hohda. Thank you very much. Now if they just could have turned the heat down, it would have been perfect.

Lawrenceville Honda?yamaha

Today was my first visit to the Lawrenceville Honda/ Yamaha dealership. I just moved to Winder, Ga from Russellvill, Ar. I was impressed by the display of bikes they have. While I was checking out the parts department. I was shocked to hear a woman from behind the parts wall let loose a flurry of foul expletives. I immediately rushed out with my eight year old in tow. I might expect to hear such vulgarities from another brand of motorcycle shop, but I thought Honda was a family kinda place. Be careful of taking your young impressionable children to this shop.

Best motorcycle shop in town!

I've been riding for more than 15 years, started on a used '84 CR60 and some other dirt bikes, and then on to street. My current ride is a '06 CBR1000. This dealer has always taken great care of me. When I was young and my dad would bring me in the people their always treated me like I was important, not just my dad. When I was old enough to buy my own bike they gave me the best price I could find... I even tried to beat it.... \r\rFor a minute or two I was unhappy when they told me that my old race bike was getting to old for them to work on, but they pointed out that even I had refered to it as my old bike and that the problem wasn't performing the work, but actually that they can't always get every part for an old bike. I thought this was crazy but accepted it and left. I went home and tried to find some parts myself and realized that they were right! I also found other people who had other shops work on there old bikes and it was like going into a hospital and dying there... they never got there bikes fixed because of these impossible to find parts but still had to pay for the work that was done! I am so glad that Lawrenceville Honda Yamaha didn't allow me or them to wind up in that kind of mess.\r\rAfter that I started thinking about the service that they gave me on all the other stuff I've had over the years and realized that they have always done the best they could to make sure I was safe and that my bike ran right. They even made me feel like my dad was still around one day when the service manager ""yelled"" at me for riding on bald tires. Ok, he didn't actually yell, but he did make me wake up and realize how dangerous my tires were. \r\rRecently, I was looking at buying another bike, this time a cruiser. I had already checked around and once again got the best price from them so I went in there the other day and asked for some help tricking it out. The guys in parts took alot of time to help me choose the right backrest and bags and pipes..

Beware

BEWARE: I have been trying to get a spare key cut for my SuperHawk for about 2 weeks now. The parts department has mis-cut 3 keys and does not care that it has cost my time and fuel driving back and forth each time. Now they are out of blanks and don't have an eta on restocking. They still owe me a replacement. ""Obama like"" arrogance.note: I spoke to the service techs a few times and they had a slightly more customer focused point of view.Chattanooga TN has incredible prices and are much friendlier

Don't Honor Quoted or Advertised Pricing

My husband and I went to look at Goldwings. We were quoted a price for a bike. When we went back a little over a week later, they would no longer honor their price and wanted over $250 more than the original quote!! Very funny considering they have the exact same bike for sale on the web at the price that we were originally quoted. These are not honorable people. As a businesswoman, I would never dishonor a quoted price. We will never deal with them again.

Refuse to service older motorcycles

They claim that they are ""too busy"" to service older motorcycles, so obviously they do not need your business - go somewhere else.

buyer beware

Do not go here for mechanical service, which is worse than their sales department. Took my bike in because it would not idle. Gave them explicit details of my bikes history. After almost a week of sitting outside, they finally diagnose. First guy tells me the carbs need to be recleaned and I have dirty feul which needs the gas tank drained and cleaned. When I tell them it had fresh gas and carbs cleaned 3 months ago, story is now that the jets are plugged and gas just smells bad. I tell him gas is only two weeks old with stabilizer. He say's, "oh, it must be the stabilizer I smell". Are you kidding me? I have to call back to find out my bike is ready and the guy tells me that the battery I purchased six months ago is dead and my headlights don't work. I tell them the headlights and battery was working when I brought it and their attitude was so what. Before I sign the work order, I state that the headlights were working when I brought it into the shop. Both the store manager and service manager yell at me and tells me to leave the store. I will be contacting both Honda and Yamaha, possibly the Attorny General.

One of MY Biggest Mistakes (UPDATED)

Today is Tuesday July 8. After getting in touch with the Manager of the Dealership, I learned that he was actually there during all of our problems. We specifically asked for the Manager, and was told he was not there. After speaking with him I believe he was not aware of the situation created by a "rookie" salesman, nice guy but only on the floor one week, and his sales manager. The GM admitted that they did drop the ball on this. He was very apologetic. I had not closed the deal with the other dealer yet, so I made an offer to them to match the other on price and have the culprits of this situation deliver it to Savannah and I would have a cashiers check waiting on them. The GM checked my story with the price from HONDA OF RUSSELLVILLE AR and verified that I can buy it for 600 bucks less there. He advised me he discussed this with his "Bosses" (Owners) and they chose not to accept my proposal to resolve this issue. Oh well, I did give them the chance. 600 bucks apart! Seem the original post has been lost. in short. I drove from Savannah to Lawrenceville to pick a bike that was to be ready via charge to creditcard, offered to bring cashiers check, told not necessary, only to be told at the dealership they could not take my business check till it could be verified.

Bait & Switch dealer with prices OVER MSRP

This dealer had a used scooter on their website for $200 less than they would sell it to me. When pointed out, the sales manager agreed to the lower price and, after another 30 minutes, came to me to say that the owner said no and I'd have to pay the higher price. I returned some accessories I had bought for my bike - which were $10 over MSRP - and bought online for $27 less. This dealer will skin you at every opportunity. Buy at your own risk!
