I used Leisure lawn for over a year. This spring I still have tons of weeds. I had to threaten to cancel to get them to come back out and fix the problem. I came home to day to find my lawn looking... like a clown lived here. They have highlighted my weeds with bright blue dye so now it looks like my yard is screaming "look at these weeds"!! Worst of all they spilled blue stuff all over the street. Thats enough for me I'm cancelling my service.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

SLEAZY PHONE SALES TECHNIQUES I arrived home to find a strange “yard has been treated sign” on our lawn. I remembered that our contracted lawn care company had treated the lawn recently, so I inspected the sign. It was from Leisure Lawn, as was the bill on the front porch. When I called Leisure Lawn to tell them of their mistake, Chad told me that we had a contract with them; I said that we did not. Chad asked if someone else in the household could have agreed to service and I assured him that they would not. Chad told me that they had recorded the conversation and had proof of my wife agreeing to a service contract. I asked my wife and she explained that the lawn service company had called, or so she thought, and told her that it was time to treat the yard. Leisure Lawn sent me a copy of the audio file My wife (English as a second language) had answered the phone in my absence. The lawn care company that we have used for three years always calls the day before they treat the lawn. My wife picked out the words “lawn care” and “come out for service”, and thinking that it was our legitimate and contracted company, she told them to come. When I explained this to Chad he was insistent that we had a contract and the Leisure Lawn would proceed with the billing for the duly contracted services. I again explained the error, asked for a copy of the audio tape and told him that I was not going to pay for what was and un-requested, unwanted and unwarranted “service”.

Leisure Lawn is fine until you cancel with them. I cancelled my service in 2005, received confirmation and received a new bill today (10/17/2008). After cancelling 3 months in advance (I had a planned move to Indiana), I received a bill. I disputed and even had a service person say, "Yes, we have problems with the person who took your call following through." In order to get them to cancel the amount though, I had to file a complaint with the BBB. Now, I have a new bill for the same date of service and the issue has not changed. I cancelled my service in plenty of time for it to process through their system and was charged for work I did not authorize. Once again, I'm going through the BBB. And for those of you having problems with the company, do the same. They have 2 listings in the BBB so post to both. I will never use this company again, not even in another state! However, if they handle this appropriately and to my satisfaction, I will come back to post that fact.

Used them last year at my former house and they killed the two most prominant shrubs in my yard, refused to replace them and I fired them. I did not pay the last bills because the replacement on these plants was more than what I owed them. They still call to collect, and I still ignore them. After telling them in writing and on the phone that they will not get MY money, they will not go away. Terrible business plan. Never makes the customer happy.

After several services we decided to discontinue service due to price. They showed up anyway while we weren't home and when we called the first time this happened they took care of the bill. We also made sure to "cancel service until further notice" . . . well they showed up the next month again! When my husband called to dispute the cost they refused to let him speak to a manager and told him the bill would go to collections!! The agent was rude and unprofessional . . . whatever happened to the customer is always right

I agreed to try them after phone solicitation with instructions to do 1st svc in 2wks.They came 2 days later.I complained, they said disregard the invoice and they'd come back in 2wks. They never came back-ever. After 4 mos, ~6 calls by me, two letters from me, they are harassing me and threatening collection. Buyer beware.

I have serious concerns about the integrity and honesty of the people who work for this company. We have the same brown spots and weeds that we started with. Now they are trying to add on additional services for insect damage to trees???? What trees?

I don't even know where to begin. This experiance was a dissaster from the begining. The sales guy tells me one price and the guy in the truck tells me he won't treat my lawn for that amount and drives away. I call the office and nobody knows anything. I cancelled and they came out two weeks later and treated and now want me to pay? No way! Stay far away from this company!

So this guy from Leisure Lawn calls me and say that he visited my home and left an evaluation last year, he ran down his prices. I told him "I had a company... [click]" The fool hung up on me mid sentence. He didn't allow me to finish to say that my present company burned my lawn, is presently replacing my sod and that I will be interseted in a new company as soon as I get my new sod! What losers!

Leisure Lawn are true liars. Canceled service, due to various reasons. Never can read the notes left on the invoice as the hand writing from there tech is terrible. Said they treated our backyard, when we don't have a back yard with grass to be treated. Recently replaced our wood gate on our fence as it was still green from the chemicals they sprayed last October. Leisure Lawn says we have a problem with crab grass, what they can't figure out is where our property line is versus our neighbors yard which is full of crab grass. Since we canceled our service, we have been treating our lawn ourselves with Scotts and all we can say is we are the envy of our neighborhood with a beautiful green lawn...something Leisure lawn never gave us, except there dye green chemical. Thankfully there continuous calls stopped after 5 months from canceling service.

I had been doing my lawn myself for 13 years. I moved into a new house and decided to let the "professionals" take care of it. So I called around to several different companies to get estimates. I ended up settling on Leisure Lawn, in part due to the fact that the people at Trugreen said they owned them but.. The guy Kendal I talked to at Leisure Lawn ensured they didn't and that Leisure Lawn was a high quality outfit who only used high quality products. So I signed up with them first off they send a guy out to treat my lawn who looks like they picked him up in a home depot parking lot. He could hardly speak English! Then they didn't even treat my back lawn! Even though my wife told them that it had been agreed to! I called and talk to the branch manager, and he ensured me that they did treat the back lawn! How the heck does he know he wasn't even there! I also asked him if they were owned by Trugreen. And he admitted it! I had enough! So I canceled my services! Three weeks later they showed up again to treat my lawn! Now it looks dead!!!!

I just found out that Leisure Lawn is actually just Trugreen under a different name. Unbelieveable, I had trugreen and they were no good. Leisure lawn called and promised to be better, they weren't any better, and now I find out I've been duped! What a bunch of crooks!

This co. has treated me the same as most of these reviews. Harrassing telephone calls despite being very clear that I was not interested in their co/service.(Called 5 times after I told them to stop calling me). I was lied to by at least 2 people in the sales dept @ 770-521-0115. Don't answer their calls!! Branch Manager was no help either. What a miserable company!

We took over an existing account for our new home, since we were pleased with the results. With the Georgia drought being a serious issue and a complete watering ban was in place, we decided to cancel our service and told Leisure Lawn that we would contact them when we wanted to start our service up. Three weeks after service was canceled, Leisure lawn showed up and began spraying our lawn. I went out and asked them to leave and explained that we had canceled our service. They iqnored my request to leave. Customer service was terrible when I called. They made me out to be a liar, that our service was not canceled and that we were scheduled for lawn treatment and further more refused to talk to me since the account was in my husbands name. My husband contacted them as well, shortly after I called, as he had been out running errands. They were rude to him as well and explained that we did not cancel our service. He asked to speak with supervisor, he never was able to speak with that person. We filed a complaint with that BBB right after he hung up. Leisure lawn has yet to respond to our complaint. We have asked for no further contact by Leisure Lawn, they continue to call with the last call taking place last night at 8:45pm. How disrespectful! They obviously do not understand what No Contact means. They also don't know how to formally apologize to an unhappy customer. Do not use Leisure Lawn, highly not recommended.
