Lenox Pet Hosp & Bird Clinic

I used this facility a couple of times with okay results. However, on my last trip, the lack of customer care and consideration was overwhelming. I had a miscommunication with one of the front desk clerks, despite repeating the information back to her for confirmation. This miscommunication caused me great duress, as well as costing me quite a few dollars. When I returned to pick up my dog, not only did they not apologize, they did not even acknowledge the incident. They acted as though it never happened. If you want good service, go somewhere else. I will from now on.

I can't say enough good things about the new staff at Lenox Pet Hospital. They were warm and friendly and I could tell they really cared about my dog's health. They took the time to explain all his medications and really put my mind at ease. I just found my new vet!

I just went and took my dog for a well pet annual visit for her vaccines. I was in the room with the vet for about 5 minutes, she was very nice but nothing to brag about. The problem I have is with the prices! I went last year for vaccines so I had an estimate in my head for cost but apparently they are under new management and have more than doubled their costs. (p.s. Dr. Bressman isn't there anymore) For my 20 pound dog to get her vaccines and heartworm test was $234!!!!! No annual blood work, no heartworm or flea prevention, nothing extra at all! In the previous year the exam was no charge and the DHLPPC was 28.50, now its a $58 exam fee and $64 for DHLPPC. I don't mind paying more for good service, and having worked as a vet tech for 5 years I understand they have to mark up the cost to make a living but I didn't receive amazing care and I feel if owners have changed they should have given me an estimate when I got there to make me aware of the expensive changes.I will NEVER go back!

I took my 3 month old pomeranian in after receiving a coupon in the mail saying "initial free exam". Somehow it still ended up costing a lot of money after all the "extra" exams and shots my dog unnecessarily needed. Also, the vet was very rough with my dog, he didn't seem like an animal lover at all. At one point he got very mad at my dog for not wanting something squirted up her nose. Also I complained about a horrible bad breath and he just brushed it off as it being just another bad dog breath. About a week later I decided to exam my dog's mouth and found a lose molar tooth rotting in the back which caused the horrible bad breath. Definately not a caring vet I expected. I WOULD NOT recommend this vet to anyone!

My dog started vomiting one morning and instead of taking her to my regular vet (Inman Park- Great place) I took her to Lenox because it was only a short distance from my house. The vet said she had a bug that he had seen other animals come in with, gave me some medicine and some food and sent me on my way. I looked at my receipt and they had charged me for 3 different medicines and 2 cans of dog food. When I got home I had 2 medicines and 2 cans of cat food. I called the office explained it to the receptionist she said she would exchange the food and refund me the 3rd medicine. I got to the office got the right food and the vet comes out and tells me he isn't going to refund me the money because they couldn't find the medicine in the hospital so I had to have taken it home. I promised him I had not and he told his receptionist to refund me only half of the money and to mail it to me in a check. I still have not received that money. Later that week I took her to Inman and the vet there said that she probably just had an upset stomach and didn't even need the medicine I was given.
