I am putting my review here because I this is the first Lenscrafters listing - I went to the store at Northpoint Mall. First, go to Lenscrafters if you can get the 30% discount available to both Blue Cross insurance customers and AARP members OR if they are having a good promotion like one-half off lenses. Without a promotion or discount, they are too expensive. Men - do you hate it when your frames lose a lense if they are dropped or stretched or just if the screw falls out. I have worn Lenscrafters Memorize frames for three years without this ever happening - and I frequently drop my glasses and work with them outside in the yard. These are also nice looking frames in several styles and sizes. Mine have progressive bifocal lenses in them. To me it is a big convenience to go to the eyewear store at night or on weekends and have the glasses ready in an hour and these Memorize frames are far superior to any frames I had purchased in over 30 years of wearing glasses. You may want to try to avoid having someone who is a trainee or recently started work help you. There is usually a manager or assistant manager on duty - and they have the experience to be familiar with the frames.

I've purchased glasses and contacts for my family and myself at this store before. Four months ago I had a new set of bifocals made up with an "anti-glare" coating that was supposed to eliminate halos when driving at night. After only four months the coating is so severely scratched I can't wear them. I was at the store last week to purchase a new set of glasses for my daughter and while she was shopping for frames I asked the manager what could be done to remedy the problem. He told me the problem was that I wasn't using a liquid cleaner on them (no one ever told me I needed one)and that my only recourse was to purchase new lens at a cost of appr. $150.00 However, after contacting the corporate office, my concerns were addressed by the store and my lens were replaced at no charge and I am once again a satisfied customer.

I went to Lenscrafters for my last eye exam and glasses. They were very reasonably prices and very professioanl. I will use them the next time I need to have my eyes examined.
