Dr. Kelman is a good doctor but his staff and especially the manager April are rude and belligerent.
Dr. Kelman was able to help me drastically reduce the frequency and severity of my migraines in a way that two previous neurologists specializing in headache couldn't. The help he provided me with... has dramatically improved the quality of my life, and I will always be grateful to him for that. He was always very nice and pleasant towards me, though I do agree with other reviewers that he spends very little time with patients and really only makes an appearance to hand out prescriptions. Ultimately, though, I had to find another doctor because his staff was so horrible. They were rude and incompetent. The NP at the time asked me inappropriate and bizarre questions unrelated to my treatment, just trying to make conversation. It was also almost impossible to get drugs approved by my insurance company, even though the staff at the other neurologists' offices didn't have any problems.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

I went to see Dr. Kelman several years ago. Terrible migraines and I was put on anti seizure meication. I had every negative side affect that stated to seek medical attention immediately. My internist advised me to stop medication and contact Kelman. Dr. Kelman told me that i was not experiencing those symptons because it only happens in rats. I told him I wanted to stop meication and he told me that I would need omeone to stay with me for several days in case I started seizing. I have lukily never had a seizure, but eperienced shaking on my right side for pproximatly two years after meds. Dr. Kelman never returned calls. Scary experience

I'm glad I got a referral from a doctor friend instead of reading these reviews. Dr. Kelman and everyone on staff acted quickly and professionally and took appropriate action. I'd suggest not going by the reviews here. Everyone was pleasant and friendly too.

This is a first time for me to write a review. I can't believe this person is a "dr". I have never been treated worst in my life. Don't waste your time. So sorry for everyone out there who suffers from migraines. Marina 404.606.3487

Dr. Kelman is a caring compassionate man. He truly gave me my life back. I have had terrible migraines after the birth of my son 5 years ago. Dr. Kelman got me on vitamins, preventative migraine medication. I still suffer but not to the extent I did before seeing Dr. Kelman. I will agree with the previous post that his nurse is skeptical that every patient is a drug seeker. I hate being treated like that but I guess in their profession they get that a lot! I feel his staff has become jaded!

I really had a great experience with Dr. Kelman. He's obviously knowledgeable and extremely helpful. He's also kind and truly out to help people suffering from debilitating headaches. But dealing with his staff, particularly Latisha at the front desk, as well as his nurse is dreadful. I very clearly do not want narcotic medication, nor will I ever request that. But they treat every phone call as if you're a drug seeker. Dr. Kelman is worth the time and money, but until he addresses the serious attitude problems of his staff he will continue to get average to below average reviews. It's a shame really.

I have had an excellent experience with Dr. Kellman and his staff. They have taken a holistic approach to my headaches including vitamins and other remedies. The headaches are nearly gone and I think Dr. Kellman is the main reason why. I can't understand all of the anger directed his way.

I walked into his office with neuro normal, but walked out (6 mos) later neuro abnormal. You are a rat and he just test on you; he does not return calls; or care if you are worst. Everthing the others has said is true. Please, contact me at email@example.com if you want to share your information. thanks, Peach

I am so glad to read these reviews- they reaffirm my experience with him. I saw Dr. Kelman today and he had a very strict list of questions he had and wanted to stick to- when I asked for clarification on one, he completely insulted me and argued with me and refused to explain, them simply moved on without an answer from me- an answer he medically needed. He also left the appointment to take a call and promptly explained he had to take it because I messed up his schedule for being a little late (I called and asked if I needed to reschedule and they said no). He does not listen, he is rude, he does not want to discuss any alternative treatments, and I do not recommend him. The weird thing is he seems so nice and you want to like him but then he slips in the rudest, most condescending comments. Never going back to him- ever. Would never recommend him.

Reading the reviews shows me Dr. Kelman is up to his Old tricks. I saw him for treatment of migraines and when I told him the medications he prescribed weren't doing enough, He told me "I guess you are one of those people who is just going to have to suffer" I hope if Dr Kelman finds himself with a recurring, painful condition he has a doctor who treats him much better than he treated me. I would not recommend him.

Dr. Kelman is a nice as well as smart man.I do think he is capable of helping people as he does or else he would not be in business. I know people he has helped feel better. He is definetly worth seeing at least once as a patient of his.

Was seeing Leslie Kelman for the first 8 years of my MS diagnosis. When this was a benign case and you'd only be with him for a brief 5 minutes, he was ok. Having an insurance change, I went back to him at around 16 years. Everything was still benign. Within the same year, had a major exasperation which left me bedridden for a year so far. He became so rude when faced with questions and would not listen to some of the incapacitating side effects the multiple medicines he prescribed were causing. Read the posts here...this type of scenario is repeated with him over and over. There are much better doctors for MS in the Atlanta area. Try the MS Center with the father-son team-Dr. Stuart.

Dr. Kelman overbooks; He has no time (or temperament) for patients, and relegates their care to underlings, without the consent of the patients; He makes an appearance and so is able to bill an outrageous amount; He is angered by questions or by anything he interprets as disagreement; He criticizes other health care professionals. He contributed to my current disability by failing to diagnose my condition in a timely manner. Once he made the diagnosis (19 months too late), his only advice was to say "You need to see a neurosurgeon. Now." -- and then to leave the room, slamming the door. What a delightful man.

What I thought was a great dr. turned into a battle for my sanity. Dr. Kelman's temper is abhorring - he and his physician's assistant both should consider reading the physicians creed again. The last time I saw Dr. Kelman he just screamed and yelled at me. His PA refused to allow me to speak with him after she decided to play Dr. When I recover, if I do recover from the mess that has become of my body - I hope to see them both in court.
