had a problem with my pool heater not working and making noise. leslie's came out and said fatal- needed to be replaced. quoted a price of $2700. I took the heater apart with a friend and found a part called the blower fan had failed - $455 for the part. we replaced it ourselves and saved big dollars - interestingly enough, this part was easy to replace and easy to diagnose, just taking the time to do it, which leslie's apparently didn't want to do and wanted to sell a new heater which proved unnecessary in my heater which was only 6 yrs. old!

Leslie's Pool Suppies are overpriced and unknowledgable. Everytime they test your water you can bet your putting $100 of chemicals in your pool. I had a problem with dirt in the bottom of my pool. Leslie's kept giving me different things to do, all involving buying more chemicals. Went to another Pool store and they figured out my problem before I could finish explaining the problem. I had a broken fin in my filter. $20 fin and my pool is nice and clean.
