I searched online for the perfect bike for over twenty hours-- no joke-- because I wanted to get the best price. I also had a very difficult time finding a size that accommodated by small stature (5'1"). I stumbled upon lightenupbikes.com and not only did I find the exact bike I was looking for, but I also saved $20 compared to what other sites were selling the same one for. Awesome! It arrived from the manufacturer and there were a few scratches on the fender (mfr's fault-not the seller's). I contacted the seller and with a couple of hours, had already contacted the mfr and had them ship a replacement fender. Best customer service EVER.

Puchased fenders for a bike that I already have (which is brand new..a gift). Received them promptly. When we went to install them we realized they are not the correct color and the metal brackets to install them don't fit the bike which means to me that they are not the "authentic" brand fenders that I purchased. I have emailed them and called for over 2 months and I wonder if they are on permanent vacation as NOBODY responds!! I would NEVER purchase anything from them and would NEVER recommend them! I am now turning my complaint over to an action company. There are plenty of online retailers, that have all good reviews, to purchase bikes and bicycle parts...think twice before you use this company!

Had a hard to find item that i wanted so I really cant complain if the shipping seemed a little high. Scott however was extremely promt and courteous in straightening out a shipping problem. Anyone laeving a negative coment probaly needs to "lightenup".

I purchased a bike from lightenupbikes.com , paid thru paypal and 7 days later still no contact with thsi company, I am not sure they even exist. I send them several emails and left several messages. I would love to be able to cancel my order and use a company that is worth working with. My son's birthday is in 5 days and I still dont have his bike.

I wanted more speeds for my beach cruiser so I got a fantastic price on a Nexus 8 speed wheelset from lighten up bikes. I received everything quickly and Scott was quick to follow up via email. I go to put my new rim on and I do not have the correct parts. I email him Sunday. Tuesday night still no response so I send him a another email. No response Wednesday morning so I call and leave a message. It is now 4p Wednesday and since Sunday afternoon no response. I will order from another source so I can use it this weekend, but in my book that is poor customer service. 72 hours and no response. I am an insurance agent and I would be out of business if that is the way I treated customers. I know he is a one man show, but he should have a disclaimer on expected return time for customer issues. He was lightening fast on the sale. What happened now.

Scott was very responsive to emails and phone calls. He fixed a vintage bike and my newer Trek. Repairs and parts took longer than expected but he kept me informed all along the way. They aren't a traditional bike shop so don't have regular hours but he accomodated my schedule so I could pick up after work. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
