I went to Lisa after a brutal dog attack in 8/10, and I could never have known how she would change my life. The trauma of the attack brought back unresolved trauma from an incident 25 years ago, and though I did not see how they were related, Lisa was insightful and gentle enough to help me connect the two and deal with the PTSD caused by both events. I now see the recent attack as a BLESSING in that it brought me to her and she helped me to live a quality of life that I "thought" I had before. She is so approachable and non-threatening while at the same time encourages you to explore difficult issues in a safe, non-judgmental place. I am a better woman for her counsel, and I will be forever grateful to her.

I can't say enough good things about Lisa. I came to Lisa after suffering with OCD/anxiety. I had a major flare up that left me almost barely functioning without tremendous anxiety. I believe that God led me to Lisa Terry and she has been amazing. She is helping me to regain my life. She is compassionate, caring and kind. She is everything you could hope to find in a counselor and more. I would highly recommend Lisa to anyone suffering through anxiety, phobias or fears. I thank God that I was able to find her on my way back to freedom.

I came to Lisa because I was absolutely miserable due to a severe phobia of throwing up. It had gotten to the point that I was tense almost all the time, and it was sucking the joy out of my life. To be honest, I was nervous about coming, especially due to the term "exposure/response prevention." To me that sounded like I would just be thrust into a situation where I would have to deal with lots of throw up everywhere—a total nightmare for someone like me. So if you're considering getting therapy for a phobia or anxiety disorder, let me put some fears to rest for you. You will not be thrust into a room full of whatever you fear. Basically Lisa works with you to help you pick small tasks (or "exposures") you can try on your own in between sessions. You start off really small and move at your own pace. Nothing is thrust upon you that you can't handle, and you control the pace at which you progress. Over time Lisa worked with me to help me see things from a rational point of view, rather than being controlled by my phobia. Doing my exposures helped me to gain confidence in the process and helped me gain control back. She was truly a life saver! Cognitive behavioral therapy really works! I can't recommend Lisa highly enough. She is patient, persistent, and not at all judgmental. She knows what she's doing and helped me more than I can express. I'm so thrilled to have my life back!

Thanks to Lisa I was able to realize the severity of the situation I was in and I left my abusive husband. Once she showed me the cycle of control and abuse and made me realize that I was a "battered woman" it was like an awakening. I knew then that I had to get out. Even though I always knew the situation was bad, I had been dealing with it for so long, it became almost normal. Now, I am in an amazing relationship and I have beautiful twin boys. I have never been happier. Lisa told me when I found the right partner, I would see how a loving relationship should be and she was right. I am so happy and I have her to thank for it.

I've seen my share of psychologists and psychiatrists for generalized anxiety. Some were pompous and arrogant others let their personal viewpoints cloud an objective assessment of your issues. Lisa has all of the traits to make her one of the best in her business. I've always left feeling better about myself and with the mental tools to improve myself. In fact, Lisa Terry is the one most caring and empathetic people I've ever met in my life and a therapist I would recommend without hesitation.

I have battled panic attacks and anxiety for the past 20 years and visited different therapists with mixed results. What I liked most about Lisa is that she listened and then put me to work right away in finding the helpful and various methods that could work for me. This included reading and research, visualization, relaxation techniques, "mindfulness" and how to deal with and even eliminate phobias caused by avoidant self-rewarding behaviors related to anxiety and panic. I will be forever grateful to Lisa Terry for bringing me out of that dark hole and helping me face my "Rob."

Lisa is, BY FAR, the greatest therapist in which I have ever been. I had seen multiple therapists for my OCD/Anxiety FOR YEARS. I went to Lisa, and she immediately went to the core of my problems. We worked through them with anger, tears, and laughter, but WE worked through them. She gave me the confidence to continue outside of the office. She is so professional with a personal touch!I STRONGLY recommend Lisa to anyone looking to live a happier and healthier life!

I first saw Lisa Terry as a teenager for a variety of different reasons with great success. I recently contacted her again for help, and it was a great experience. She remembered many of my past issues and was a tremendous help. I'm so happy that I contacted her again and would recommend her to anyone.

Lisa was a true blessing in our daugher's life. After receiving a diagnosis of depression, OCD personality, and anticipatory anxiety from a psychiatrist, my husband and I sought family counseling from Lisa. Not only did she help this teenager adjust to the world around her, but she assisted my husband and me in dealing with a troubled teen. Today, this young lady is a confident, well-adjusted wife and a mother of an eight week old daughter. As an educator, I am often asked for recommendations of counselors and psychologists. Lisa Terry has helped several of my students. One young girl visited me last year and said she doesn't know what she would have done without Lisa's assistance. In this era of teen suicide, I am so glad she sought help and Lisa was there for her. Lisa Terry is an expert in her field; a fabulous listener; and a person who can offer hope and help during a crisis. Judy

I went to see Lisa Terry for feeling depressed. Instead of trying to understand the cause of my depression, she started giving me advices that could have ruined my life for ever. Thank God, I went to see another Doctor, that built up my self esteem. She was not the right person for me.

I appreciate everyone who takes the time to give me feedback. Whether positive or negative, it helps make me better at what I do. I am a firm believer in the counseling process and wholeheartedly support the notion that there must be a solid and trusting relationship established between the therapist and client. Inevitably, there are occasions when a particular client and therapist aren't the right fit for one reason or another. While I hope any client would chose to bring a problem in our collaboration to my attention during the course of therapy, I understand that not everyone will feel comfortable doing so and may chose another avenue. If therapy ends prematurely as a result, I am gratified to hear that the client hasn't rejected the therapy process itself and seeks out a therapist who is a better match for the their particular personality and set of circumstances.
Lisa is a confident and affirming guide. She helped me identify what I really wanted and gave me a sense of what I needed to do to get there. She had a great sense of how to consistently bring me back to what I wanted to see happen in my life, and how my thinking and commitments were either facilitating or hindering me from experiencing life the way I wanted to. One thing I really appreciated about Lisa was her ability to challenge me without making me feel foolish. It's that rare combination of compassion and focus that make her a unique counselor. She neither judges nor placates; that's an exceptional gift! I have seen movement and change in my self and in my life that would have been impossible without her help. She is great at what she does.

Lisa recently had a session with my young daughter who was extremely anxious and grappling with an issue that was affecting her physically. We sat together and I was extremely impressed with the way in which she was able to relate to myself and my child in a calm, caring demeanor. I would highly recommend anyone with children to seek out Lisa for any counseling needs that might arise.

Lisa is an exceptionally gifted, compassionate, and attentive counselor. I have seen a few therapists and she is particularly effective in: listening, focusing and finding pathways to improvement. Her goal-oriented approach is refreshing and effective. She has been instrumental in helping me discover my past and enjoy the present. Lisa is an answer to much prayer and is real blessing to those in need. I would have given her 10 stars if they would have let me. My son saw Lisa a few years ago, when he was entering middle school. My son was very shy then but warmed to Lisa right away. She offered him a realistic, step-by-step approach to the anxieties that were taking over his life. The approach of breaking his anxieties into small, managable steps seemed to appeal to his ability to focus on overcoming them. It also taught him how to deal with issues and anxieties in the years since. I have always thought back on how instrumental his therapy with Lisa was in his enjoyment of school and life!
