Their soup and sandwiches are delicious and hot. You can tell they make the soup fresh everyday. You have to splurge a little for lunch but worth it.

This hole in the wall place off broad street in Atlanta is a great little lunch restaurant. Good food, reasonable prices, and a tucked away from the hustle and bustle location make it one of the favs of working folks downtown.

Though parking is a challenge (30-minute on-street meter-parking worked today), this was a nice lunch spot. Reviews on other services spoke of long lines -- I walked right up to the counter at 12 noon. Like Bdogg, I tried the Kettle Combo of a Cuban, Corn/Crab/Spinach chowder and drink ($9 total). The Cuban was very good with fresh French bread, except for too much mustard & mayo. The soup lived up to expectations. The bread pudding sample with the combo was okay, though it may have suffered from the high expectations raised by other review sites. I'll go back to try other selections.

A lot of people who work downtown still don't know about this tucked-away little sandwich shop. Sure, it's a bit yuppie, but it will come a staple of your lunch hour once you give it a try. Be sure to try one of the lunch combo meals that includes a half sandwich, a cup of soup and a taste of their excellent bread pudding. I've tried a lot of the sandwiches on the menu, but always find myself going back for the Cuban sandwich with a cup of their crab and corn chowder. For under $8, it can't be beat.
