My boyfriend and I thought we would try a new place and it was terrible. The wait staff was friendly but it took too long for our waitress to get out drink orders so we and most of our table had to go to the bar. The bar staff was more interested in their own conversation to notice we were standing there. The food is ok, grouper tacos were probably best thing we had. This place is way too loud, we couldn't talk at the table without screaming at one another.

I don't even know where to start. There wasn't a single aspect of our experience at Loca Luna that wasn't horrible. This is our one and only truly atrocious dining experience in Atlanta so far. First of all, we weren't even sure we were at the right place (no sign, really weird building & location). The inside looks like some weird jungle with hula skirt grass hanging from the walls. Every single server was sitting in the booth next to us just hanging out & eating. It was awkward. I kid you not, there was not a drop of alcohol in either of the drinks we ordered from the bar. The food was disgusting. We ordered the Brazilian cheese rolls (no cheese & I swear they came out of an easy bake oven), the steak skewers (overcooked skinny strips of nothingness), grilled octopus (cooked very unevenly and sitting in a pool of grease), and the tomato mozzarella salad (the only decent thing, but how do you screw that up?). There was no music (Friday night) and our server was too busy giving massages to the other servers at their little party booth to even bother to ask how everything was. And what kind of a "Latin" tapas place offers creamed spinach & green beans as tapas? Those are side dishes, at Boston Market. Absolutely terrible. $40 and 20 minutes later, we went to McDonald's. This place is a total train wreck.

Me and my friends loved the live music at Loca Luna. Laid back atmosphere. Tons of free parking. We ordered tons of tapas. I really liked the fish tacos, potatoes, cerviche, and mojitos. Service was a bit slow, but they were really crowded and the servers were doing their best for the large crowd.

Sunday 6:15 - Party:2 received pager told 30 minute wait. 1 hour later checked back - told I was "overlooked" and finally seated. Waited 20 minutes for server- placed order - waited 45 minutes for 4 tapas dishes (they were good). It took another 20 minutes to flag down server for bill - I finally had to corner her at a register because she NEVER made eye contact after she put down the plates. Now 9PM - I will not recommend this place - too frustrating and too long a wait and too poor service for so little food.

I love their live music on the weekends but boy, their service suck! I made a reservation for 15 people 2 weeks in advance and they still made us wait for 45 minutes for the table to be ready. Several weeks later, I RSVP for 12 people and they did the same thing again. If I need to wait for a table for that long, what is the purpose of making reservation in the first place? Mojito that I ordered from the bar didn't taste anything like Mojito. The food is OK but the service is slow and not attentive at all. I think this place is a way over-rated. I rather go to Eclipse where a table is ready when you show up!

Brought a group here for my Wife's birthday. About 12 people who all eat and drink quite merrily, racking up quite a bill. The food was fantastic and the live music is amazing.. so much fun! However, two problems. We had a couple flying in whose flight was delayed and when we called to make the reservation made the mistake of telling the hostess this. She stated our party would not be seated until complete and we may not be able to be seated as our reservation was at 8pm, and the last reservations taken end at 8:30. So she was willing to lose a table of 10 for the two that may be late? VERY rude on the phone. We decided to chance it and had no problems with the guy at the host stand. Waiters are very understaffed, had to go to the bar and wait to get drinks for our table (or maybe we were just drinking too much too fast? ha) Food was superquick though?

Small meal or large, this place is great. The food is fantastic. and, if you can get past all the regulars who loved the old location, you will find a spot you will want to visit again and again.

This place is the BEST place to get into the Salsa culture. The music is good, the DJ's are Latin, and the food is fantastic. There's always a diverse crowd so theres always fun to be had! An Atlanta must-see for sure!
