I have had the pleasure of working withe the designers @ Locklear Interiors for several years, both on my personal home with specs and colors and design ideas and as a general contractor implementing their design specs for customers that have hired Locklear Interiors to do the design. Locklear Interiors designers are always very professional, and treat every client as if they are their only client. We try very hard as a contractor to make all of our customers happy, and to implement the design 100%. Occasionally we run into scheduling conflicts and budgetary constraint issues that just cannot be resolved to everyone's satisfaction- but even in these rare situations it is not the fault of the design company but an issue between the contractor and the customer. You hire a designer to do the design and a contractor to do the work (implement the design) The decision as to which contractor to hire is the yours,,and any issue with said work is ultimately between you and the contractor.

I first met Gail Locklear approx. 20 years ago when I solicited her and many like her in the design bus. attemping to build my own business. Over the years, I have worked with Gail in the design field, the subcontractor field, furniture and building. I have never met a more kind and passionate person who has totally wrapped herself up in her work. She will go the extra mile for her clients as she has me all these years. I have a deep respect for Gail's talent along with the many designer's she employs. I now use her for my clients if we need a designer involved.

Last Fall we hired Locklear to come to our house to look at doing two large additions. She was suppose to find out from the city what the variance was from the creek in our backyard to see if we could build. She kept telling us that she was waiting to hear something and that she would follow up. We never heard from her. My husband picked up the phone, made a quick call to the city and was able to find out the information that we needed. We never heard from her afterwards. If this is how she treats potential customers --- thank goodness we didn't hire her! Don't waste your time.

Sidney, I would like to try and clear up any misunderstanding that there may have been here. Can you please tell me the name of the person that came out to your house. We are interior designers, we work with builders, or contractors to do projects and they would be the one checking with the city on variance information. We have several designers that work with us and I would like to resolve this matter with you. Please follow up with me, Gail Locklear . Please response to me at firstname.lastname@example.org Thank you
We hired Locklear to assist with a small bath in April. As of the end of September the bath is still not complete. Just like the Locklear employees, the subs that they provided to us were never on time, required more supervision than my 2 year old, and never got it right the first time. We've talked to Ms Locklear and she said she would follow up to make sure everything was completed - haven't heard from her in over 45 days, GREAT FOLLOWUP!! If you are planning on using Locklear do so with the understanding that they are not responsible or accountable for anything
