I'm from the south bay and I know mexican food. This place can get crowded so my recommendation is to call 10-15 minutes in advance during the lunch and dinner hours (this holds expecially true for the E. Palomar site).

This taco shop is very close to my house so I was anxious to try it after reading the high number of stars it received. I ordered a chili relleno. It was barely adequate but not really that good. Good rice, beans hot and salsa OK. I will try some other item for a return visit. Hope my choice of entre will be better next time.

I'll never be able to say enough good things about this restaurant chain. This is what mexican food should taste like. My wife and I were ecstatic when we found out they opened a location on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. It really is the best mexican food you will find without resorting to a grungy mom & pop store, with the "-berto" suffix.

I used to go here all the time bc I thought the food tasted good and fresh. I had ONE bad experience and have never gone back. I ordered four old, smelled like the bottom of a garbage can, rolled tacos. Once I cracked one open, I smelled something funny, but decidedly ate it. After a few bites, I knew something was wrong. I brought it back to the cook/cashier and told him it smelled/tasted funny. His response, "Oh, it was from last night"?!?!? WTF?!?! I swear it was some leftovers that probably was sitting unrefrigerated all night and re-fried. They probably mixed the OLD w/ the NEW. NASTY! Never again. Sorry. You lost a customer!

They have great food but the food here is a little more pricey than other taco shops. You can buy carne asada chips or fries here for about $7. Other places are $5 or less. But the food here is alright. It's like any other taco shop.

O.K. the prices are alittle higher than other Mexican food places, but the food is excellent. The Carne Asada Chips and Fries are really something you need to experience. Personally I think they have the best Carne Asada burrito in town.

Besides being very convenient, this place has the best take out around. My favorite is the carnitas tacos. They are stuffed with pork, guacamole, and pico de gallo. Awesome!
