Designer Doc for Designer Pharmaceutical companies, 1/20/2009

Save your money. This doc does nto live up to the oath "do no harm". I have been seeing her for a year and every time I would visit here she would have me make an appointment for the next month. I... have had high blood pressure and high cholesterol since the age of 23 and I am 34. I don't need designer meds or to see the doc every month. it was so weird. My previous doc would give me scripts for 6 months to a year. She was lovely unfortunately I moved and she left laureate med group. Anyways my sorry insurance doesn't cover anything unless I pay a $6000 deductible up front and the last two appointments i had with her were denied so I owe like $400. i explained this and asked Dr. Lopez to call in some generics to Walmart so I could get my meds which are Toprol XL and Norvasc which she put me on. Walmart doesn't have those drugs on their $4.00 list but they DO have Toprol 50 MG's that is not extended release you just take it twice a day. She refused to change the meds to generic unless i came in for another costly appointment which I cannot afford right now. I explained I had beenoff my meds for a month and my bp was 155/121 and she still refused even though she just last saw me in October. Thankfully the free clinic as my Mosque has doctors their every Sunday and they took care of me , I also had come down with asinus infection. I have meds 4 meds now that were $34 for 90 days. I don't need s designer doc that prescribes designer drugs I cannot afford. Hippocratic Oath my foot!
