HORRIBLE!, 9/09/2009

Over a year ago we were very saddened when our dog was diagnosed with a terminal heart condition. After a lot of asking around we were referred to Dr.Feldman, a cardiologist, by a friend. This past... Monday night my dog went into heart-failure and had to be rushed to the hospital. Since it was Labor Day Dr.Feldman's office was closed so we rushed him to VCA, which is right off the freeway. When they saw him they told us that he may not make it through the night and hospitalized him. Fortunately he made it and they suggested that he see his regular doctor the following morning. I called Dr.Feldman's office and told them that our dog almost died the night before, was in critical condition and needed to see his doctor asap. They told us that he didn't have any available appointments but that his assistant was available! I decided to keep my dog at VCA since they had a cardiologist there so I told him to please fax his file to them asap. They said ok. It turned out that they have still not faxed file (its been over 24 hours!!) , even after I called twice to ask and the VCA doctor called 3 times! So, not only have they not sent the records yet, I am completely horrified that not a single person from LA Vet Specialists have called to check on my dog or the situation!! We have trusted this doctor and hospital for over year, have spent THOUSANDS of dollars here, and do not find it unreasonable to expect his doctor or staff to call and check on their heart patient! HORRIBLE!!!!
