We've lived in four different cities during our children's academic careers and experienced four very different private schools as a result. They have all had their pros and cons, although mostly pros in all cases. We moved here just in time for our youngest child to enter upper school. He was very reluctant to move schools at such a critical juncture, but my job situation made it necessary. Within a short period of time, my son was very happy that he had the opportunity to attend Lovett. The academics are excellent and varied, the athletic program is strong and spirited, and it is a welcoming environment. He no longer bemoans the move and is very proud to say that he attends Lovett. No school is a perfect fit for all children, but if you are looking for a balance of academics, athletics, community and character, I would encourage you to consider Lovett.

Lovett's MS has forgotten who the customer is. When students or parents have issues with weak teachers, the administration always backs up the teachers with little regard for the thoughts of others. Students are treated unfairly and the principal looks the other way. Students and parents, sadly, have no voice.

The Lovett School is a wonderful academic environment right off the river in Atlanta. The school has high academic standards and puts an emphasis on character education. The teachers here are top notch. The school has wonderful academics, sports, music. and arts programs so students will have a full academic experience. There are also classes here, such as marine biology and chinese that are not found at all schools. There is a sense of community at the school, where parents are kept informed and are encouraged to be active in their children's academics. It is an excellent school.

I graduated many years ago. Lovett has always been a great prep school. The one change that I've seen made in recient years is their emphasis on diversity. I think this can only improve their student's preparation for college and life.

I attended Lovett from 5 grade through graduation. I attribute a great deal of my success in college and my career to the exceptional education I received. The school employs only the most dedicated and skilled teachers, and, arguably, provides the best college preparation in the state.
