I just recently moved to McDonough from California. Even before I moved here I messaged them on Facebook about taking lessons. They responded very quickly and welcomed me as soon as I got settled. I have taken a few lessons with Heather and she had me feeling right at home at the barn. I just recently purchased a horse and have him boarded there; since he is still getting use to his surroundings they are keeping a close eye on him, and giving me updates either via text message; or when I get out there to train him. They have truly made me feel part of the family.

My wife & I started going on trail rides here about a year ago. Because of how we felt about Nicole & Heather & our love for horses we started taking lessons back in October. I had horses growing up, but after experiencing the knowledge these ladies have we knew we were in the right place to learn more. As far as the children go, their children are probably better off than most of ours that sit in front of a tv or play video games. There are risks in everything we do. As for Jacob, he is the most easygoing dog I've ever seen & he makes our visits to the farm even more enjoyable. We think so much of the farm & the care they give the horses & their students, we bought our own horse & board him here.

My toddler absolutely loves horses. I came across Luella stables on facebook. They offered on Fridays lead rides and trail rides till dark. So we made the 2 hr drive one friday to let him atleaat have the experience. When we got there everyone was extremely friendly and very helpful. You can tell that it is definitely a family business and that they love their children very much. My son had the best time! Since then we have gone back for trail rides as well. I feel safe letting my 3 year old (then 2) ride with one of the staff members on the trail rides, because they always have his safety in mind. My only complaint is I wish I lived closer to them!!

The first time I was here for my little girl's birthday party. The entire time the lady was getting our party of riders on their horses, her toddler was wandering around between 10 horse's legs, whining. Scared me to death! So I spent the entire time trying to make sure her toddler didn't get stepped on by the horses! Next time, we went for trail rides. As the party before us came back, there was a man covered in mud. He had been flung off the horse! The lady asked him "are you sure you're okay?"!! There was no accident report done, nothing!! And finally we purchased 4 lessons for our little girl. The first lesson was cancelled repeatedly for a month. Finally when we went, we were immediately concerned. There was no training regarding safety, and the in lesson she had my beginner daughter posting and trotting on the first day. While my daughter was riding, my husband and I mentioned some concerns about safety to the lady's husband. He started slapping the butt and flicking the tail of a nearby horse, saying "awww he won't kick you", etc. it was almost comical if we hadn't been horrified! When our daughter's lesson was finished, after putting horse back, she reached down to pet a dog that lived and wandered loose on the property. The dog immediately raised ut's hackles and started growling. Of course we urgently told her to get back. But after the lady chewed out my 7 yr old for touching animals in her farm! So unprofessional, utterly horrified!!

Luella Stables is the #1 place for horse lovers. You can tell horses are their passion by the care they give each and every one. Nicole is always courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended for fun memories!!!

My granddaughter has been attending Luella Stables for 4 years and we are totally pleased with all aspects of the farm and Nicole. Nicole is professional and very attentive to her horses and clients even under difficult circumstances. My granddaughter has learned so much and continues to learn every day she is around Nicole, Gunner and the stables. She has attended summer camps, had lessons and is now leading trail rides, helping at summer camps and attends barrel racing events with Nicole. Her horse is stabled at Luella and I can assure anyone that she and her horse are well taken care of as is all of the students, customers and horses stabled at this wonderful farm.

I was shocked at the complete lack of professionalism of Nicole. Actually, it was straight out rudeness! I was a guest at a birthday party held here. She practically demanded that I pay for my child to ride. Which was already covered with the party. She caused such a scene that her boyfriend named "Gunner" came over and set her straight,he apologized to me for her terrible behavior. It was quite an experience for me and my daughter and the rest of the party. I will NEVER step foot on her property again. I read a review about her being all about the $. That was my experience as well. Her attitude is way out of line!

Bought my horse from this farm 6 years ago and my only regret is that I lived to far away to lesson from Nichole. The whole experience was great. Nichole walked me through everything. Still loving my Bucky boy!! Thank you Nichole!!

Great experience!-My child learned so much about herself, improved her skills/responsibility and bonded with her horse incredibly! We also did not have just a single experience with Luella and Nicole. We continue to have positive experiences and I would recommend Luella Stables to anyone looking for an organization that provides a safe environment, healthy animals ALONG with teaching the critical foundational elements of riding and caring for a horse. Great place - Great Experience - Happy every time we have a chance to spend with Nicole and Luella Stables.

My daughter started out here with a one hr lesson and has been coming constantly for almost 6 yrs now. The instructor is like a big sister to her and looks out for all the kids like a mom. She loves all the horses there and takes great care of them and the students. They will work hard but will learn how to be responsible horse riders.
I have been riding her for almost 6 years and working beside Nicole (the instructor) for about 2 years. Me and my family have loved this place from the start! Great place to be around and great people too!
I sent my kids to the camp this past summer. My kids are 8 & 12. The 12 yr old rides and competes but the 8 yr old doesn't ride but he had a blast there this summer. They are constantly asking me if they can go back this coming summer. I will definitely send my kids back. They are still talking about how much fun they had and can't wait to go back! Keep up the awesome job!
This is a great place to go for a quick horse fix. Friday evening horseback riding is a great experience for the kids and my granddaughter loves it. The horses all seem well-cared for and Nicole and the girls serve as great ambassadors to the world of horses. If I had a horse, I would keep it here.
Nichole loves what she does and takes pride in doing it. There horses are very well taken care of and I can't believe anyone could ever say anything different!!!
I love this place!! I have been here riding and boarding for almost 6 years and I have not had any problems. I have been at college for almost two years and in those years, Nicole and my friends have been taking care of my horse while I am away. He still looks amazing and they have been doing a great job of looking after him. This is the place to come and board and take lessons!!!! There no other place to be than here! I love it!
