Attached is a photo file representative of a review placed on Angie's List yesterday which describes my horrific experience with this contractor. There are too many words to fit within the space allowed here, however, I could not adequately relate my experience in fewer words. Like the earlier review on this site about McLellan, I am elderly, on a fixed income and cannot afford to pay someone else to clean up the mess left behind by McLellan Excavation. Nor should I have to since I had already paid them $4,300. What is so upsetting is that every bit of the clean up I had to do had absolutely NOTHING to do with the construction debris pit in my backyard, which is what I hired McLellan to repair. Considering what it has cost me in materials, lost work hours and physical wear and tear on this 65 year old body, I wish so much I had paid a higher price for more quality work.

My 76 year-old grandmother hired Bill McLellan to grade a small area on the side of her house to prevent water from backing up and (bc of Mr. McLellan's suggustion) he was also to clear out some small trees and shrubs in her backyard. But, in addition to that Mr. McLellan and his crew also plowed up a large section of my grandmother's grass and managed to make a large crack in her patio. There are also areas where the patio has large chips broken off the side of the patio where a large machine was driven off. Mr. McLellan left large amounts of dirt and muddy tire marks all over my grandmother's patio and driveway. He even left deep long tire marks up and down the backyard, and on both sides of the driveway where his truck apparently missed the driveway twice. And, to top it all off Mr. McLellan did not even haul off the small trees and shrubs removed from the backyard, but he simply just dug a deep hole in the backyard and buried it all. Right. And, when my grandmother asked why he hadn't cleaned up or at least attempted to clean up, he told my grandmother that she would have to hire someone else to clean his mess up. Seriously??? Reluctantly, my grandmother still paid Mr. McLellan the agreed upon full amount for his services ($1800). After speaking with my grandmother and then visiting her home, I advised her that she should contact Mr. McLellan in regards to repairing the horrible condition in which he left my grandmother's yard. My grandmother then attempted to call Mr. M
