My husband had been experiencing health problems so we decided to see if it might be something environmental. We contacted Mike from Mix Home inspections to complete an asbestos test for us. He gave us a good deal to do a preliminary test to determine if there was indeed asbestos present. We paid $225 for this test. It came back positive and so we requested an airborne test to determine if the asbestos was indeed airborne. This test costs us $400. Mike sent us the results and he informed us that the results for the airborne asbestos were positive! He said we should move out immediately because of my husbands health issues. We left immediately and stayed in a hotel for a week. We contacted our landlord with the information provided by Mike. During that time I contacted my friend who was a retired certified asbestos inspector and he informed me that the tests performed did not tell me anything about airborne asbestos and that it was not the test that we had asked for. He then asked me to check to see if Mike was certified to not only do asbestos test but to also consult. I can find no record of this and Mike did not provide it when requested. I hired another asbestos certified person who came and did the correct test. He found no airborne asbestos. I contacted my landlord and even they informed me that the tests I sent them did not tell them that their was indeed airborne asbestos. This was very stressful and costs us lots of money.

I was told by the tenant that he currently had nose cancer and I advised him that the safest thing to do would be to vacate the area until another inspector could come out. They chose to go with 'their friend" and another company. And that was fine. My fee wasn't $400 . I spent over 10 hours on the phone and in person on this. I was very specific about the need for me to send an AHERA certified inspector and that I wasn't AHERA Certified. I was very honest with the husband. The payment was disputed by the customer and I was paid nothing at this point. This person has a habit of having services rendered and stopping payment after the project is completed. The customer said they had cancer and no way would I take advantage of a cancer patient or any other client for that matter. Our pricing is fair and competitive.I wasn't there to talk politics but all I heard was "I hate President Trump" . My wife is a school teacher and "I hate Betty Devous".The customer says he has cancer... Im there to try to help but I can't do it for free. Another person wanted that time slot and agreed to postpone because of the client with cancer. And now this is what they are doing to an honest hardworking person. The headline of this review is accurate, it's just THEY who are committing fraud. All services were rendered with professionalism and compassion.
I have used MIX home inspections twice in the last month and will use them again. Chris is outstanding and very nice to deal with. On time and precise.

MIX Home Inspections provided an excellent service! they worked with our schedule, arrived on time, and were extremely thorough. Their report is well laid out and easy to read, and I feel confident that they performed an excellent inspection. I would highly recommend giving them a call for any home you are considering having inspected.

By far the most professional people I have ever worked with. Not only was the home inspection worth the money but I also got a great deal on a security system. These guys are great. They were on time to every appointment and they really knew what they were doing. Over all great experience. Thank you so much!!!
