Maple Street Guitars

These guys are the absolute best I've found in the southeast; I would not trust one of my Gibsons to anyone else. Worth the drive from just about anywhere. Very helpful with new gear at reasonable prices too.

I own 5 very good guitars, 3 electrics and 2 acoustics, and have taken 4 of them to Maple Street at one time or another for adjustments and tweaks. They are truly a first rate operation from sales to repairs. Earlier this week I took my Collings in for a neck adjustment. Jeff did a great job with the set-up . . . I can't quit playing it. Everybody I've ever dealt with at Maple Street has been informed - and if not an expert on a particular topic will quickly refer me to an expert in the store, professional and friendly. I live a pretty fair distance from the store but the people and the products are worth the drive. Easily the best store in Atlanta dedicated to guitar lovers.

I just picked up a 2008 PRS SE Custom from Maple Street Guitars in Atlanta over the weekend. The guitar is great, but the customer service was awesome! I was in a situation where a guitar I had purchased from them wasn't exactly working for me. It was no fault of the guitar or the store.

I've gotten to know the folks down there because their techs (Dave and Jeff) do all my work. So I call Lindsay, explain the situation and asked what I should do. I was expecting him to say, " sorry, try selling it on eBay (because they don't buy used gear)." Instead, he told me that he was sympathetic to my situation and to come to the shop and he would try to work something out with me.

I can’t go into the details because what he did for me is not something standard in a written policy. It was just excellent customer service.

Yesterday, I brought the PRS to the shop right before lunch to have them change my strings from 10's to 12's (setup required). I took it to Dave and asked him when I could pick it up. He told me that it would be ready in an hour. I came back an hour latter and it was done to perfection. Oh yeah, and there was no labor charge because they have a one year action warranty with their guitars.

I am going to be taking the basic guitar class at Emory this coming month. Based on a recommendation, I went to Maple Street Guitars. With little knowledge going in, I felt that I received both an education as well as exceptional service. George (the owner) took his time showing me all of the different options available. He was very focused on making sure I had what was a good fit for me.

I took my Martin acoustic in when the pick-up stopped working. I had almost bought a new pick-up online for $200+, but decided I'd let Maple Street's shop look at it. Jeff was able to repair the electronics and the total bill was $15; I was thrilled. They have a great store; check 'em out. -Glenn
