The NP saw me until they had enough info to convince my insurance company to perform many unecessary procedures. When I complained about these extra procedures, they belittled me.

I went somewhere else, did NOT have surgery and feel great now. So glad that I listened to my inner monitor telling me to RUN!

Additionally, when I first saw him, I was losing 1&1/2 lbs per week from pain and nausea caused by the sinus issue. He wanted me to wait 10 weeks to "fit me into" his plastic surgery schedule.

Once his schedule cleared up, he was anxious to try and get me back. He has written several letters to me and my primary claiming that I "skipped out" on NECESSARY surgery.

Stay away from him unless you are sure you need surgery.

Dr Beaty is difficult to actually see. The doctor spoke to us for 10 minutes total in many many months of traveling to this practice. We saw a nurse practitioner. They billed us for the full service of an actual doctor. When we requested to speak with the doctor for answers, we were put off to the nurse (Not even the nurse practitioner).

Surgery questions were answered by the nurse, not even the NP for these important questions. There is no way to get through Dr Beaty’s protective shell of nurses to address concerns or answer questions.

I asked if I could speak with the doctor before I made a appt.??? I was told I can help you and no not a chance! Well, if thats the start hate to see the end!

My problem was not typical. Dr. Beaty was courteous but did not seem to try very hard to address it. He basically dismissed it. His patients are scheduled every 10 minutes. So it seems that if he cannot solve your problem in 10 minutes, you are out of luck (like me).
