Founder Robert ("Bob") and Josie Marshall, after Serving in the Pacific Theater during WWII, Bob moved his family to the Skippack area determined to achieve the American Dream. Bob started a roofing and sheet metal fabrication company specializing in tin and slate roofs, as well as warm air duct installations. In the late 50?s, Bob added oil sales, service and installations. It was the pioneering spirit of Bob and Josie that planted the seed of what is now Marshall Oil. The 1960?s brought more change when Glenn Dickey married Bob and Josie?s youngest daughter Barbara. Yes, the dreaded son-in-law, entered the scene in the early 1970?s. Glenn Sr. started working for Marshall Oil as a service technician, oil truck driver, and roofer. Bob taught Glenn about hard work, perseverance, and pursuit of the American Dream: The great values handed down from generation to generation that made America great. During this time, Glenn and Barbara became partners with Bob and Josie, which eventually led to the complete purchase of Marshall Oil. Not only did Glenn and Barbara have the newly purchased company, they also started their own family, having 6 children total. Glenn states "We decided to apply our strong family values, coupled with honesty and integrity, as the basis for Marshall Oil. In our view, we do not have customers, we have family members." We are big enough to service all of your needs, small enough to care.
