J Martin Appliance & Repair came out to repair my refrig. I must say I was impressed with the time they spent in making sure that my refrig. was working properly. And, I was given a guarantee on their work. I really am thankful that they are there with a timely response to my service order.

Took 3 visit to replace a ice maker. According to the owner when he inspected the work, the Ice Maker was incorrectly installed. They charged me to replace a water value that was not broken, before they realized they installed the ice maker incorrectly. They offered to refund the labor to install the water value, but refused to reimburse me for the water value they replaced in error. After I filed a complaint with the BBB, Kudzu and Citysearch, they refunded my money. Check out CitySerach for more info

Alantaga2 broken icemaker .the first tech that went to his home had to order a part that was not made any more for this unit. we got one made for this customer it took 20 pluse days to recieve from factory.but he complained about the time it took.the refrige was over 6 years old.hes complaint.was broken arm no way to test until replaced.@ this point installed arm complete for customer.the next three days past mr gallow calls in hollow ice cubes.this is usually a lack of water issue.ordered mr gallow a new water valve and sent different tech to install it.the next day mr gallow calls and states that his ice maker pooring water into the ice bucket and freezing.@ this point the call was turn over to me as any third trip call should be.I went to mr gallow home.what i found was that the tube to the ice maker had got pushed over to the left side sending water all into the ice bucket.our tech on second trip installed it wrong.sorry @this point mr gallow stated that he wanted all money refund for the mistake made.I stated that.we will refund labor as a peace offering. And i have a witness with me that day.he refused and said he was making complaint to bbb and the net.he did so as stated.he called and sent email to show me he did so.we as as good company agreed to refund water valve and labor for install.144.25 we kept the money for ice maker that was broke on the six year old refrigerator.I would think asking him to just pay for part only. we are being more than fair.

Manufaturer had J. Martins make a service call for warranty covered work (I certainly didnt pick them). After disassembling the thermostat and leaving the parts strewn in the refrigerator, J. Martin's explained to me that they had to order a new thermostat. I left several messages over several weeks asking for information regarding the status of the part and when they would be able to return but I never received a single return call. I finally had to call the manufacturer for information. Fortunately, after sharing with the manufacturer my experience and alerting them to these other Kudzu reviews, the manufacturer decided to replace my refrigerator. I could not in good conscience recommend J. Martins under any circumstance. It has been a wholly unpleasant experience.

The earliest they could schedule me to repair my fridge was two weeks. I took a 9-1 appointment time because they don't work weekends. I took off work for the appointment and no one bothered to call or show up. I will never call them again.
