Herniated Disc, 11/05/2015

UPDATE - Days after my Massage Envy massage in August 2009, I was diagnosed with a herniated disc in my lower back which required surgery. The Massage Envy massage therapist performed extremely... forceful leg stretches at the end of the massage. I told the massage therapist to "Stop!", but it was too late. After spinal injections provided little relief, back surgery (microdiscectomy) was performed in October 2009. My medical bills were over $34,000.00. Initially, the owner of Massage Envy was very apologetic and offered me a free massage. The owner also agreed to cancel my membership (on the third month of a twelve month membership). If you check social media, you will find out that Massage Envy absolutely refuses to cancel memberships pre-maturely. However, in my case, the owner canceled my membership immediately and without question. I have never sued anyone before in my entire life, but since I am PERMANENTLY DISABLED, I decided to file suit against Massage Envy in 2011 . Six years later, Massage Envy has finally offered to settle this case for $40,000.00 which does not address my PERMANENT DISABILITY.

Bait and Switch on promotional coupon, 9/20/2011

I was excited to get the $49 intro price coupon in the mail--we all get them. But when I went to use it, they wouldn't honor it saying that corporate changed the pricing and we aren't obligated to... honor it. I had set aside the time to have the massage, so I went ahead and did it for full price. Wasn't worth it. They are good for general relaxing massage, but not if you need a specific body part worked on. Very mechanical in their delivery of a massage.

Best Massage

I am really happy with this new massage place. They can take you with little notice and the massages are well done and professional.

Love it!

Actually, I want to say I hate it and don't want anyone else to go because I can always call and get an appointment within 24 hours. If I keep touting them, I want be able to get appointments anymore. If you want a solid massage without all the spa frills, this is place to go. The massage therapists are professional. The rooms are clean and sparse. I don't feel like I am in a fake Tuscan villa in a PTC strip mall. The emphasis is on the massage. The membership is a deal--$39 per massage. If you are a regular massage customer, it is the way to go.
