Horrible experience!!, 7/19/2006

I have long straight hair, mid-back length. I wanted a shampoo, cut & blowdry. Normally( here) this is 21.95 . The stylist was very rude. \rShe commented on the bad condition my hair was in. When... I asked her to shampoo twice she huffed like it was an imposition & raced thru the shampooing anyway , barely touched my scalp at all. The water was ice cold. I asked her to use warm water. She said my hair was too damaged and warm water is bad for your hair. I have Raynaud's , a disease in which you become very cold very easily...to the point it can cause pain. She rolled her eyes and again acted like it was an imposition. But did make it a ""little"" warmer. Then she asks what I'm getting & I told her . She says I don't need to blowdry, my hair is already too damaged. I said I can't walk out with wet hair. She then explains she will charge me $35.00 EXTRA , on top of the $ 21.95, because of it's length. Clearly she didn't want to be bothered because I have NEVER, EVER been charged extra anywhere i've gone, including this salon. I skipped the dry. She sits me down , soaking wet towel around my neck , combs my hair & starts to cut it. As is. No sectioning off, no nothing. I get up and ask her what shes doing. She said ""cutting your hair"". I told her that is not the proper way to cut hair. She had to argue of course. So I took off the cape and proceeded to walk out. I went to Visible Changes, another salon in the mall, where I paid $ 37.00 for a haircut and style, complete with straight iron. And no extra charge for blowdrying my long hair. They said that was absurd. And it is.\r A salon is a ""service"" oriented business. Those who don't want to be bothered with providing a service, should not be working there. \r
