Retained their service to pump a septic tank; property is under contract and is a requirement for sale. Company came out and suddenly the quote went from 150$ to $1100 and I was advised that unless... I paid that fee they would write a report that I was not disclosing issues and I would have consequences if I did not pay. The owner of the company refused to discuss and I was forced to pay. Very unethical, and unprofessional and no shame in making threats to get money for work not done and not necessary. It was a very intimidating experience.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »
Tech called me while evaluating septic at a house I had for sale. He asserted that a long list of repairs were necessary. These would normally cost over $2,000, but if I authorized it immediately... he could do it for $1,600. He also promised that if authorized the repairs he would not disclose any of the issues to the buyer of my house. I was skeptical about the repairs he cited and unappreciative of the offer to conceal info from my buyer. New company just came out for a second opinion. Their tech said "As much as I would like to bill you for a lot of work, most of what Master Rooter cited as needing repair/replacement is perfectly fine. I can pump the tank for $400 and I'll give you a signed letter that the other items are in perfectly good, working order." If you read this company's reviews they go in bunches. I speculate that the negative reviews are bunches of actual customers and the following positive reviews are bunches of company representatives trying to conceal their deceitful practices.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Recently bought a house and first mistake was we did not get the septic tank inspected. Soon after moving in, we started to have problems so we called these guys out hoping to just pump the tank but unfortunately it was past that point. They clearly explained the problems and cost involved and stuck to the quoted price. Also did some on the spot modifications to help us out in the future. Having never had a septic tank before they offered us advice on what we should and should not put in the septic system. I'd definitely use these guys again.

I've used Master Rooter for both my home and rental properties. They have helped me with a variety of problems and always provided excellent service at a fair price. I highly recommend Master Rooter and will continue to call them for all of my septic needs.

Service tech came out, evaluated the situation, quoted me a price and stuck to it! I was pleased with the ability and attitude of the technician (Allen) Being a single lady most people try to take advantage like I am dumb but this was not the case. I would definitely recommend them, call them and use them again!

Had a wet spot in the yard and called Master Rooter to pump the tank. I needed additional work due to biomat build up in the field lines. $3000 later still wet. I called and was told it could take some time since it was approaching winter. It's spring and no rain for two week. Still wet. I will wait to hear back from the as to what they can and will do before I finish this. I'll be back!!! I had Master Rooter back out and we found the issue. It was an irrigation line leaking. That might have been the issue to start with last fall since it's the exact same location. This is not an issue of Master Rooter. Still provided a timely response and very courteous team.

The crew arrived within an hour of my call. In the past other companies just pumped the tank, but Ray was very knowledgeable, figured out what the root problem was and offered several options to fix it for good. I would recommend them to friends.

Noticed an unpleasant smell outside and as fate would have it, heard their commercial. They came out the next and were very polite, professional and knowledgeable. We learned a lot while they worked about things to do & not to do. They were upfront about what they found, how the problems may have occurred and what needed to be done to fix it. And gave us a great Fair price. These two guys were fantastic and we recommend them to Anyone even concerned about their septic tank. And they Guarantee their parts and workmanship for life, even if you move, it goes to the new owner. Will definitely use again & tell all our friends. Thank You from The Mercers in Auburn, Ga.

These guys are THE company to call for septic problems. They were friendly, courteous, thorough, and had the best price around. They even lowered the price by $45 after they were finished. This was something you rarely see these days. They were $130 cheaper than some of the other companies that I called. They were on time, and completely pumped out my septic tank. They even sprayed water with a garden hose down in the tank after it was empty so I could see that it was just clean concrete at the bottom of the tank. They also cleaned my filter. These guys were just plain great...I am a very satisfied customer.

On 4/23/2015 I spotted Master Rooter truck in our subdivision, I walked up and asked if they would be kind enough to stop at our rental which was just around the corner and look at our septic situation. Not only did they stop but proceeded to dig and see where the problem may be. Ray gave us an amazing resolve to our ongoing problem and does not have to cost us thousands of dollars. We were shocked and pleasantly surprised and did not charge us a penny for his professional advice, how impressive, almost unheard of nowadays. We will definitely call Master Rooter next time we need their services, I recommend this company without any hesitation, I also give them a 5 star rating. Thanks guys, you are a rarity.

I recently had my septic tank cleaned by Master Rooter. I had a magnet from the company being in the area a few months earlier and decided it was time to call. Once Ray and Charlie arrived, they assessed my septic tank in its entirety. I was relieved to find the location of my tank since we had recently purchased our home but not so much about the contents. Not only did Ray and Charlie clean my tank but also matched a local competitor quote. I was pleased to understand just how my septic tank worked, the structure and how to keep up on the maintenance. Most companies are interested cashing in and getting out whereas Master Rooter took the time to educate and explain just how my septic tank works. As I told them, "once people flush---they don't think anything else about it." Thank you for taking wonderful care of my septic and my home.

We had a wet spot in our yard that was getting bigger. Master Rooter came out and explained the septic system to us. They explained a solution that we could try before actually replacing the drain field. Spending alot of money on something that we may not need. They treated our tank to see if the exsisting problem would go away. They did tell us that it would take a few weeks to see if the treatment works. They also explained that my wife needs to cut down on the amount of bleach she uses to clean. The septic needs bacteria and of course bleach kills bacteria. Septic need bacteria to work properly. The team that came out to our house were very helpful and if we ever need their services again we will definetly call on them. You always hear that GOD send people into your life just when you need them. I am a witness to this that this is the truth. Thank you for letting us find Master Rooter online!!!! God Bless this community small business. I recommend this businss to anyone that is experiencing septic troubles.

This guys are crooks , I spoke with them and told them from the start I needed to pump my septic tank and will probably need to have my drain field replaced very soon but I did not decide what contractor I would choose for the job. I also confirmed that the special they have for 150 $ to pump the tank has no strings attached .Once they came out they said they cannot pump the tank for 150 , if I only want to do the pumping they wanted to charge me 500 $. The never mention in their advertising that the 150 special comes with strings attached and not even when you talk to them on the phone to schedule the appointment. Very deceiving , classic bate and hook strategy ….mad at myself I fell for it ……I was lucky I could find another company who came out and pumped the tank the same day . This company does not care to help the customer , after they lie and put you in a bad situation they do not even try to make it right R.G.

Our maintenance pumpeOur maintenance pump services clearly states on our website the specifics for this. We also disclose that on the phone as well. This service is for customers that have their tank serviced regularly. It is recommended that you have your tank serviced every 2-3 years and by delaying or postponing this, you could have issues start to occur. We would like to help every client for the best possible price but based upon this situation this did not qualify as a maintenance pump which did require more disposal costs and work.
