We worked with Matthew's Tree Service to trim all the trees in our subdivision, as well as remove a few diseased trees. Matthew and his team were quick to respond and got the job done efficiently and at a fair price. The entire process was smooth, from the estimate to the haul away of the stump shavings, Matthew's did a fabulous job! He will definitely get my business again in the future!

Met with Matt & requested his crew cut several trees away from my cabin in North GA. His guys got out right away & took care of it. Also cut the trees up into firewood size logs and stacked it neatly behind the cabin. Excellent work.

After reading the positive reviews, I hired Matthew in November to trim back a tree allowing squirrels to get on my roof and my neighbor's roof. I asked to be home when they came out and was told I'd get a call before they arrived - I did not. Some branches were not cut back from the houses as requested. In good faith, I paid the bill but asked they come back to ensure the branches were trimmed back. It took almost three months, multiple calls and emails (with pictures) before he returned (without notifying me) - ignoring the photos and just cutting off some large branches on only one side of the tree. I emailed asking they ensure the few branches on my neighbors side (less than three inches in diameter) be trimmed off as discussed. Matthew called me to let me know he wouldn't finish the job without charging me more - and would just take the whole tree down, saying he shouldn't have had to come back the second time. When I was trying to discuss it with him, he kept interrupting me - and then the phone call "ended abruptly," and he never called back. I sent another email asking that the work be completed. He has not responded. Beyond disappointed - and lesson learned about paying before everything is complete.

Michelle: Your maple tree was trimmed as requested, quoted & performed in a timely fashion. When you emailed back asking if a few more of the branches could be removed, I put your job back on the schedule for the next available date after the holidays. You stated "that would be fine--there was no hurry." The crew did come back out to trim a few more branches from the maple--a few weeks later than I would have preferred, however, we had to work around Mother Nature and the unusually wet couple of weeks after the New Year. The photos you provided show a perfectly trimmed & balanced maple tree. You again asked for more limbs/branches to be removed to where the tree would grow "straight up." (This is how I replied to you in an email): Good Morning Michelle. It was a pleasure speaking with you again, and I'm sorry the call got dropped. As I was explaining; your tree was properly pruned per TCIA (Tree Care Industry Association) guidelines, for which I have been a member for over 30 years. These standards are strictly followed to ensure the long term health of any tree we touch. I had the crew come back out the 2nd time as a courtesy since you have been to kind & patient, and I understand that you are concerned about squirrels using the tree to get into your attic. Honestly, though I just can't cut the tree to where you want it to grow "straight up." That's not how a tree naturally grows & it would go against every protocol, as well as, moral code that I proudly follow. My advice would be to take the tree down before causing it permanent damage. --The fee for the maple trimming portion of your job was minimal. The major expense was in the removal of another tree on your property for which you were completely satisfied. It's a shame you gave such a fanciful & *negative* review when your job was done well & you have a beautifully trimmed maple tree to enjoy for many years.
From the very beginning when they came out to look at my trees and he talked to about what was happening to the trees. He was kind and explained things to me and took the time to explain what needed done to save the trees. When they came to work on the trees they even removed fallen branches for me. The office staff was just as kind and helpful.

Matthew and his team were very prompt and professional. Tricky job removing 2 over grown trees from front flower bed - they performed it with ease, cleaned up and were gone in no time. Very happy with their service!

I've used this company more than once over the years. Most recently after a storm when a tree fell on my neighbor's property blocking their driveway. Matthew's Tree Service were out to us early the next morning. They disposed of the tree and freed my neighbors up quickly and efficiently. The staff was great, and the owner is so personable.

We contacted Matthrew's Tree Service after a strong recommendation from our neighbor. They came out the next day and provided a very competitive quote. The employees that handled the tree removal were courteous, quick and clean. We would recommend Matthhew's to anyone needing a tree service company!

I called Matthew's Tree Service and another highly-rated local tree service to get estimates to have a large oak tree removed as the tree was arching over my driveway and leaning toward my neighbor's house. Matthew Golgan was at my house to discuss my needs and gave me a written estimate the same day that I contacted him and also offered to include removing a number of dead branches from other trees that were hanging over my house in the same cost. He and his team just left my house after spending the best part of the day completing their work. The tree is down as well as all of the other "deadwood"...everything has been removed from my property and all driveways, walks, decks, etc. have been cleaned of any debris. You really cannot tell that anyone (or the crane, chipper, and large trucks) has been on my property at all. Matthew's pricing was much better than my other estimate. He and his team were great. Very professional, friendly, and very considerate. I would certainly plan to use them again and I would recommend them to anyone. HM - Marietta, GA (east Cobb).
