Dr. Hussein placed me on Trazodone as an alternative to Ambien for insomnia, despite my telling her that I had a bad reaction to antidepressants and SSRI's. She assured me that it was completely safe and this was not in the same category as the others... After having complex partial seizures, which mimicked anxiety and caused amnesia for several months, and a visit to the ER, Dr. Matthews, who was my PCP, switched me to another antidepressant (despite my insistence that I should not take them), and told me to, "Take a walk" to deal with the anxiety. I quickly changed doctors and went to a neurologist, where I was diagnosed with complex partial seizures, caused by Trazodone (yes, it is listed in the warnings), and put on medication to stop them... I, now, have 6 months of my life, that are fuzzy, at best, and it was all because of doctors not listening.

Dr. Matthews, one of a team at his practice, is top-notch. He's always been very professional and knowledgeable. He takes time to answer any questions and, on one occassion, even went above and beyond what I was there for (during a routine physical he used a laser to remove a skin tag near my eye). It was just a cosmetic thing and he didn't have to do it, but it save me the trouble of having to schedule another visit. The office is comfortable and the staff is polite and professional. I have not had as good luck with another member of the practice there, so be sure to ask for Dr. Matthews.
