Nothing was working with our challenging preschooler. We were frustrated and worried and we know something needed to change in how we were dealing with those challenges or we could be facing more serious issues. Through our work with Tracy, we gained valuable parenting skills and an understanding of what our daughter needed and how to manage parenting dilemmas. While most child and family therapists have an understanding of the issues parents face, what sets Tracy apart is that she provides real, practical solutions. It is amazing what Andrew has been able to teach us to help make our marriage betterprobably helped save it. His manner in communicating with us and working to improve ourselves and our marriage has been fantastic! We cannot thank him enough for everything he has done. You can't find a better person or place to go for counseling.

It is difficult to adequately express my gratitude to Tracy and McConaghie Family Counseling, but I will give it my best shot.

I dealt with depression and anxiety on my own for many years before going to MFC. I was extremely skeptical about therapy, and Tracy's ability to help pull me out of the dark hole I was in. Much to my surprise, I found myself enjoying therapy. It provided me a much needed outlet for my thoughts and emotions. Also, Tracy is an absolute well of patience and support. She made me think so much more highly of myself than I ever thought possible.

She made me reconsider checking myself into a hospital when I was severely depressed this past summer. That choice saved my life, and the guidance and empathy she gave to me are a big reason as to why I am alive today.

MFC has been a true blessing in my life, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is feeling hopeless, and needs good people to talk to.

I know, sometimes you look at your spouse and think "Has s/he been taken over by aliens?" Sometimes there are silences so huge between you that it seems impossible to bridge. But somehow, sitting in front of Andrew the bridge is built. We have learned that perspective is relative, communication is everything, and empathy is possible even in the most stressful situations. He teaches us specific tools to use in real life. The net effect has been that we communicate more, argue less, and have learned that sometimes combining apples and oranges can be the start of some pretty good fruit salad. Thanks Andrew!
