Medallion Inspections

Booking an inspection with Medallion was very easy. Christine managed to fit us in quickly and was very easy to work with over the phone. The inspection itself was thorough, and we literally had several pages of report with photos within 3 hours of the end of the inspection. They helped us walk away from a $600,000 mistake. They're not the cheapest, but that was worth every penny.

Finding a trustworthy inspector proved to be a big task because we were in a rush to close quickly. Our real estate agent gave us 3 names of inspectors that she usually uses (Medallion wasn't one of them), but didn't highly recommend any one particularly. Because of this, I took to the interwebs to research about home inspectors and came along Jim and Joes company. After taking a gamble (since I only had the web to go on), I called Medallion to set up the inspection. They were the most expensive inspectors who I called but I really liked that 2 highly qualified inspectors were evaluating the home.
We chose to go with the radon test- the test was very sophisticated and even showed that the home owners opened the door to the outside to "fool the machine" and diffuse the radon" as the temperature dropped in the basement significantly. The machine also detects motion.
The inspection brought to light significant problems with the home, and I know without their knowledge I might have purchased the home and been underwater. The home was a short sale and I thought we were getting a great deal- without Jim and Joe we would have just had an expensive headache. We walked away from the home.
On the flipside- we just made an offer on another home and I know I will be calling Medallion tomorrow to book another inspection.

Jim and Joe were very helpful. They walked me through everything that was an issue on the inspection and gave me ways to fix it. A very thorough inspection and I will recommend in the future. Thanks again.

From the ease of setting this up to the speed and professionalism of these guys, I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. I was very impressed. They did exactly what they said they would do and provided me some great documentation. This was the best / easiest part of the house buying process.

Using their Kudzu review as a recommendation, I scheduled a home inspection with Medallion. Scheduling was quick and easy. They showed up right on time. There are two inspectors (the owners) where very professional and they spent 2-3 hours each inspecting the home so you really get a lot of inspection time for your money. The only problem is that you can't 'hang out' with both of them at the same time as they are inspecting to ask questions. They go over everything when they are done and the inspection report is detailed so not that big of a deal. Speaking of the report40 pages; same day. I ended up purchasing the home and I've been living in it for 3 weeks. At this point it would seem that they found almost every fault in the home. They missed a few small things. Overall, I would recommend them to any of my friends/family and would definitely use them again.
