Dr Travis is an excellent vet who has been practicing for 25 years. I have been bringing my cats to her for more than 10 years. Last summer, my cat came home dragging her leg. Her leg had been caught and it had been constricted for a long period. I brought her to Dr. Travis. The leg had become gangrenous. We thought the leg would have to be amputated. Dr Travis and her staff cleaned the wound and treated the pain. This cat was not accustomed to being handled at the time, but that did not deter them. They worked tirelessly and cleaned the wound every day until she tentatively stood on it. Jeanne thought she could save it and she did. It was quite amazing and miraculous. The treatment and the fact that she saved the cat's leg was worthy of a medical journal. She has also been treating my old arthritic cat for 10 years. She takes time and thought in considering his ailments including kidney disease and how his pain can be treated. She treats my cats as if they were her own. As she examines the pet, she talks to them and strokes them to make them comfortable. When it is time to say goodbye, she strokes them and talks to them to make them comfortable. She uses quality products such as Merrill Pharmaceuticals vaccines. The practice has AAFP Cat Friendly Practice (CFP) accreditation. My experience is with cats, but she treats dogs too.

Dr. Travis and the staff have done a great job for us and our pets. We had multiple issues with our 14yr old lab and they took the time to time to completely explain our options both in the office and over the phone. Highly recommended.

Jeanne Travis has been my vet since 1993. She has seen to the health of all of my animals, some of which, were quite sick when I adopted them. She is always willing to attempt new treatments but is also mindful of the animal's quality of life. Each pets has been treated as if it were her own.

At first It seemed as though Dr Travis was a very good choice for the care of my guinea pigs. Unfortunately, her skills are limited. She gave my most beloved Stephen the wrong medications and it destroyed his digestive tract. He was in pain and had to take many medications several times a day. If I had not been able to be with him at all times, he would have died.He was near death for 1 1/2 yrs. We were lucky to find an excellent vet. Dr Travis even admitted her mistake. She made no offer to refer me to a good vet nor did she offer a refund. I do not recommend her as a vet for guinea pigs.

I had taken my pets to Duluth Animal Hospital for years seeing Dr. Travis. I am not sure what happened, but after the practice changed hands, Dr. Travis did not work there any longer along with other doctors. No one at Duluth Animal Hospital would tell me where she went. She is at Mercy Animal Hospital and her and her staff are the BEST!!!

I have been taking my dog and cat to Dr. Travis for many years and she never ceases to amaze me! My cat, Cosmo, became very ill and none of the specialists knew what was wrong with him. He was down to 6 lbs, would not eat or drink, and was dying. They put in a tube and I fed him 3 times a day for an hour. This was often difficult since I work full time, but Dr Travis' staff kept him at the hospital on my busy days and fed him for me! And many times they did not charge me more than $10-15 a day! Then, after 6 weeks of tube feeding, I went in and begged Dr. Travis to help me as I could not get him to gain weight and I was scared and desperate. SHE TOOK HIM HOME WITH HER FOR THE WEEKEND! I have never known a vet who 1) would do that and 2) would not charge a fortune if they did it. Dr Travis worked with my cat and found a food (she tried numerous) he would eat while he stayed at her house for the weekend. She gave him back to me on Monday and he was eating again! This was over a year ago and now my 11 year old Cat is alive b/c of her caring, giving, nature! I recommend everyone who thinks of their animals as their children to put them in the capable, loving hands of Dr. Jeanne Travis.

I have been bringing my pets to Dr. Travis for years. I am so glad she opened her own place. Dr. Travis and her entire staff are caring, nuturing and talented. Most of all they are true to the name on their building. They show "Mercy"

Dr. Travis is the most wonderful vet around. She saved my dog Rudy's life. She is the only vet I completely trust. The staff is very friendly and all animal lovers. I would recommend this clinic to anyone.

We are so happy to find out that Dr. Travis had opened the Mercy Animal Hospital. She is a loving, caring, professional veterinarian with a top notched staff. She saved our beloved Maria & Mickey from feline panleukopenia. We can't thank her enough for all she's done. Sincerely Maurice & Mika Rushlow

My sisters recommended Dr. Jeanne Travis to me when I was dissatisfied with my cat's previous vet. At first I was hesitant because her office is 30 minutes from my house, but my frustration with the care my cat Cleo was receiving led me to schedule an appointment with Dr. Travis. I have been absolutely delighted with every aspect of the care Cleo has received. Dr. Travis's staff is calming to the animals, which was very important for me (Cleo has been described by many as ferocious). They were able to perform all tests on Cleo without needing to sedate her. Dr. Travis spent a long time with me and answered all of my concerns when Cleo was diagnosed with hyper thyroidism. She presented multiple options in an unbiased manner and had several lengthy follow-up conversations with me on the phone. And she provided all of this incredible service at extremely reasonable prices. I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable her rates are in relation to others. As an added bonus, they have a drive thru so you can drop your pet off without getting out of the car (great for Mom's with young children in car seats). I am delighted with Mercy Animal Hospital in every possible way. I highly recommend this practice to anyone in the Atlanta area!

My cats have been patients of Dr. Travis since I moved to Duluth many years ago. Her passion for taking care of animals is evident in the outstanding care she gives her patients - both the 4 legged kind and the 2 legged kind!! Even though my 15 year old cat & I have spent a lot of time with her lately, I'm glad it's been in her new clinic as it has allowed me to get to know her more. The compassion she shows towards her patients is unparalleled. As far as my cats & I are concerned, there is no better vet in the area.
