Honest Service--They put you first, 7/17/2012

The audio circuitry on the motherboard of my computer got fried due to an electrical surge during a recent spate of thunder storms. I had no idea who to bring the computer to for repair so I went to... yelp.com and found a fairly glowing sets of reviews for Metro Computer. So I called Metro and spoke to one of the owners named Jake. To my surprise he did not tell me to bring my hobbled computer into his repair shop immediately, instead he suggested that I purchase a USB sound adapter, which I immediately went out and bought. Much to my amazement the adapter worked like a charm and my no-audio problem has been solved. My point in relating this story is to reflect on the fact that Jake could have just as easily told me that the only solution to my audio problem was to bring the computer in and have the motherboard replaced as the first, and more costly, alternative. He did not do that, instead he suggested that I try this workaround first, thereby possibly denying himself the possibility of more business. My point is that here is a really honest and honorable guy who is not out solely for the buck. Helping me solve my problem was his first consideration; NOT getting as much as he could squeeze out of me. In consequence of this fine and fair treatment, Metro Computer (Midtown) will be the people I go to for any future computer repair. So based on my experience, I highly recommend them to you as well. metromacandpc.com/
