I woke up on Sunday morning and was getting ready to go to church when I discovered I had no hot water. My own attempts to fix my gas water heater failed, as I was unable to get the pilot light to stay lit. I called Steve at 9:30 am on a Sunday morning, and he was at my home when I returned from church to fix it. He is fast, courteous and reasonable. He's the one to call!

Needed someone to check slight smell of gas in crawl space. Steve was professional, and very fair in what he charged. This was not a big problem: I'd expect (with the age of our furnace) we'll have one come up in the future, and will not hesitate to call Steve.

I woke up on the coldest day of the year (low 18 degrees) and my heater was not working! Steve was able to fit me in between appointments. He was able to troubleshoot the problem and fixed it in less then 30 minutes. I will never use another heating and air service again!!

My heat went out in the evening on 12/26 and I looked for recommendations on East Atlanta neighborhood website and found Steve. I called the number expecting (at 10:00 p.m.) to get an answering machine or a service, but I got him and we arranged to talk the next morning. We did, he set the time, showed up at that time, knocked out the job in a few minutes and threw in a little advice for another remodeling type problem I was having. He'll be back as I go through this remodeling, I'm sure. First rate service, fair price, timely, and very professional.

Our heat went out during a week when we were experiencing relatively warm weather so it wasn't really an issue. The only day we were available to meet someone was to have it fixed was on a Saturday. Steve promised though even though he had another job on the opposite end of Atlanta, he would be there that night. It started getting cold that night. Steve was true to his word, despite the rainy, cold and miserable day. Within minutes of his arrival, he had discovered the problem, had the heat running and the house nice and toasty. Thanks Steve! You're a life saver!

I've been meaning to write a good review to give Steve credit for his hard work for awhile. It is long over do! I called a bunch of places from Kudzu to get quotes on my furnace. It stayed glowing even if the heat was not on. When talking with Steve he asked for the brand and model number for the furnace. I told him I didn't know. He asked me to call him when I got home and he'd help me find it even though I wouldn't be home until 8 p.m. When I got home I still couldn't find the model number so he came over and helped me find it. He daignosed the problem and fixed it the next day. He came late at night both days. He's really dedicated.

I can't say enough about Steve and Metro Heating. He came out when he said he would and gave me a 1 hour window of time instead of the 6 hour window another company gave me. We had an electrical problem and he gave us a cheap option that we could do ourselves. When that didn't fix the whole problem he came back out--the same day I called--and fixed what was wrong. While he was working on the problem he noticed that the vents weren't working properly and fixed that too. Steve is incredibly professional and competent. Call him if you have a heating or air conditioning problem.

This customer had 2 problems both being electronic. One was a digital t-stat, and the other was the cheapest type of zone board available. They were great to deal with and I enjoyed the challenge that the job presented. It worked out great for them and apparently resolved another issue as well. The were fortunate that I have allot of experience w/ zoned systems.. Thanks for your review....Steve
I've used Metro twice, once for a checkup, the other for an emergency, and both times I was extremely impressed. Steve, the owner, actually handled one of the calls as the rest of his crew was busy. Great service and were more than willing to work with me for an appointment time. Two thumbs up!

I called Metro because of a broken furnace. Strike one: First guy they sent out was 3 hours late. To add insult to injury, he spent two hours at my house and couldn't fix the problem. Strike two: Next appointment, Steve came out himself. Steve showed up only 30 minutes late. To his credit, he was friendly, apologized for the first guy's incompetence, and managed to diagnose the problem. He left my house telling me that he needed to get a part and would give me a call back to schedule the installation. Strike three: Never got a call back. I waited several weeks. Finally, I called someone else. The other business showed up on time, and fixed the problem in the same afternoon. Recommendation: If you want the job done in a timely, professional manner, don't waste your time with Metro because they will not hesitate to waste your time. Update March 11, 2010 in rebuttal to Steve's response - based on my experience with him, I find it difficult to believe any of his positive reviews are legitimate. He is the only negative posting I have made to date. I'm also far from the only reviewer on here that found his "service" lacking.

This review is a sham. I do not know who this person is that left this review, but it is B.S. If I'm wrong call me and identify your self, and I will post on here again.
American Home Shield (who sends out the worst repairmen ever and then refuse to pay for repairs) sent out a repairman from Rite-Temp Heating to hook up a thermostat that another repairman had forgot to do. Then he went to the basement and checked the furnace and said the it had a bad heat radiant and heat exchanger, was leaking carbon monoxide and he cut of the gas to the furnace said a replacement would cost $2500 , which they doubt AHS would cover. ASH called and said they would not cover it because my furnace was badly maintained. I offered to show them the receipts for the maintenance I had had performed. But AHS said it does not matter, they go by what their repairman says. I checked Kudzu and called Steve from Metro Heating and Air. He told me over the phone a replacement with a Lennox would be many hundreds of dollars less then the estimate Rite-Temp gave me. Then he came out and said there was nothing at all wrong with my furnace (except it was old) and turned the gas and electricity back on, (though he did suggest I get a carbon monoxide detector since the furnace was old (which I did). He could have easily taken advantage of me like all the other repair people and services; instead he was honest and charged me just the price of the service call. I will recommend him to everyone.

We had our heating unit looked at a few months ago and was told we needed a part that would cost almost $500. When Steve from Metro Heating and Air came out today, he realized the problem was much more simple and fixed it for the price of a service call!!! Thank you so much Steve! We will definitely be calling you again and referring Metro Heating and Air to our friends.
