Terrible moving experience. Late, damaged items, complained, made excuses, and I have been yelled at, lied to, and ignored when trying to get in touch with someone about the damaged items. The Georgia Public Services Commission is the agency that licenses movers in Georgia and Metro Pro Moves/Metro Pro Movers has the MOST complaints in 2010 of ANY licensed mover.CHECK THEIR GEORGIA PUBLIC SERVICES RECORD. www.psc.state.ga.us/ (go to transportation/then go to moving guide/then look for the "Household Goods Consumer Service Report Card" link/sort by "Complaints in 2010") AND THEIR BBB Rating. It's an F.

This company had issues with the BBB but I felt that this was the norm for the industry. Truck was a little late but they kept me informed. Two men and a 26' truck to move a 10X30 store room full of boxed items. Loaded in 1 hour flat and unloaded in 45 minutes. Awsome speed but one of the gents was a little too rough with my goods. Was initially told that junk removal was no charge then after move said it was $50. A reasonable amount but I don't like surprises. Would recommend for non-fragile moves.

Here is what I liked about Metro Pro moves: 1) I had a ton of stuff (2 full truck loads). This meant a big team was needed to move this. They quoted me 5 guys and 2 trucks and when they showed up there were 6 or 7 guys there. I spoke with the foreman and he said that they were busy and wanted to try and get this job done quickly so they could move the guys to a second job. (Great...I paid by the hour!) 2) They moved 2 full trucks from my (2) 10 x 15 units and (1) 10 x 30 unit in roughly 7 hours. When I had hired another big name Atlanta moving company to move half of this stuff into storage originally it took them 7 hours. You do the math. The other company took the same amount of time to move half the amount of stuff!! And chared me more per hour! 3) The competition will tell you to check their license because they say no way can they charge such low prices. I did and they are licensed and insured. I don't want to give away their business model but let's just say you don't need a fancy office and nicely painted trucks to move. These guys spend their money on man power. 4) Their team: The littlest guy on their team was built like Deuce McAllister. They all hustled and never stopped working. The other movers I used in teh past had an older man, a skinny hispanic guy, a smoker and one sizable black guy who did the majority of the work. Overall I believe Metro Pro Movers is a great deal for the money! Ryan
