Dr. Randell and staff are very personable and professional. I am currently pregnant and his office has been very helpful. I also enjoy the fact the Dr. Randell is very reachable at all times since he... is only one in the practice. I have never had to wait very long by email or phone for any crazy pregnancy question no matter what time of day or night. Highly recommend for any regular and surgical OB/GYN issues.VIEW MORE »VIEW LESS »

Just when I lost all hope that I was ever going to have children because I suffered with multiple fibroids and was told by several doctors that I needed a hysterectomy, one of my coworkers told me about this "amazing Dr. Randell." I knew within seconds of meeting him that I found the doctor who was going to help me. Dr. Randell was very warm, understanding, and compassionate. He knew what I wanted and assured me that he could remove my fibroids, save my uterus, and I could have a baby. He was right. He removed from me 21 fibroids 2 years ago and 2 babies from me a few weeks ago. I am forever grateful to Dr. Randell. God bless you.
Dr. Randell is a phenomenal doctor. He takes care of Atlanta's celebrities and has been on several TV shows and CNN. He is smart, funny, and compassionate. I always feel like I'm in the best of hands. He has delivered both of my babies and removed several fibroids. His staff is awesome, too. I highly recommend him to everyone.
1 to 2 HOURS, HOURS is your wait time, always -- even if the office is empty and Dr. Randell is just sitting in his office. After the first hour of waiting, you are ushered into a patient room where you wait another hour before you see the doctor. No one comes in to check on you or anything. You just sit there feeling forgotten about. One time I even used my cell phone to call up front and make sure they knew I was still there. The last time I just left after 90 minutes of waiting. It's ridiculous. To me, it shows a blatant disregard for the patient's time. And who has time to waste like that?
I cannot recommend Dr Randell highly enough. Having been told that a hysterectomy was the best option for my large fibroids, I sought a second opinion from Dr Randell, who came highly recommended on many of the healthcare websites for his knowledge and skill in the use of the "Da Vinci" robotic system . I recently underwent a successful robotic myomectomy, and I cannot thank Dr Randell and his staff enough, for all that they have done for me. At all times Dr Randell was professional and courteous. He listened to, and answered my questions, and took a caring and concerned approach to my care. Andy did a great job at helping me with the insurance side of things, Nurse Michelle was very kind and reassuring, and the staff at Northside were equally caring and supportive. THANKYOU!
Have to say was worried after reading a few of these reviews, but since my Doctor, who I like, recommended him I went to my appointment today. He was great, he was funny when it was appropriate, informative, willing to listen and offer suggestions, undeerstood my worry over cost. Would recommend. Would not call him a warm and fuzzy sort of doctor but would call him highly informative and current - and I would take that over warm and fuzzy EVERY day. Cannot say enough good about them. Only warning is bring a few bucks in cash as parking does not take credit cards, figured that out the hard way but even the parking cashiers were nice about it and let me park then bring them a check!
Dr. Michael Randell is the best Gynecologist on the Planet! Not only does he perform miraculous surgeries most other Doctors won’t even attempt and succeed with stellar results, Dr. Randell also brings compassion, a keen eye, open spirit and unequaled attention to detail. He treats the entire person and not just the diagnosis and Jenny & Andi are an extra bonus…they’re fantastic! Doctor after Doctor insisted that all they could do for me was a Hysterectomy. I was determined to find a Doctor who understood the importance of me keeping my uterus unless my life was in absolute jeopardy. I finally found Dr. Randell and he was well worth the wait. On July 27 Dr. Randell removed 37 fibroids and reconstructed my uterus. They don’t live here anymore because Dr. Randell gave them their eviction papers and gave me my body back. To say I am eternally grateful does not begin to cover what I feel. The closest word would be RESCUED! Thank you Dr. Randell!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Randell's for 10 years. I am also a physician. I can say without reservation that Dr. Randell is one of the best doctors I know. He delivered both of my children. I always felt that I was in great hands. Many doctors today are too busy to answer questions or explain things to patients, but Dr. Randell is different. He makes sure that his patients understand everything. He's very intelligent, compassionate, and detailed-- all important qualities of a terrific doctor. I send a lot of my patients to him and everyone tells me how thrilled they are to have been referred to such a wonderful doctor. In addition to his busy practice, I know that Dr. Randell is also a sought after educator. I have attended several of his lectures and I am always amazed at how much he knows. Today at my appointment we were talking about online reviews of doctors and I told him that I was upset about having received some negative reviews. Dr. Randell shared with me that he has too. I decided to check for myself and was surprised to read the other review that is here. This is why I am writing a review of Dr. Randell. You need to feel comfortable with your doctor and a doctor may not always be a good fit with every patient. All I know is that Dr. Randell is extremely compassionate, honest, and thoughtful. He doesn't sugar-coat things, so that may come across as ""talking down,"" but he certainly provides the best care for his patients and he cares a lot about everything he does. My choice for the number one obgyn in Atlanta is Dr. Randell.

My wife and I were trying to find an OB/GYN to deliver our son, when we made an appointment to see Dr. Randell. He is not a compassionate person at all. He spoke down to us like we were idiots. (which we are both PHD holders from BROWN) This is a person who should go work in a lab and not with patients.
I met Dr. Randell last November, while i was in search for second/third opinion regarding extremely bad pain in my lower abdomen.I Had one miscarriage and could not get pregnant for a year. My Ob for 6 years and other OB i went to see were saying everything was fine with me, I went to see dr Randell ( whose name stuck with me h after a C section with my first child. He did perform it and nurses were saying he is one of the best Dr in the hospital) , he looked over all my tests ultrasounds etc and few hours later, the same day, he operated on me, it turned out i had extensive adhesion s.The surgery was a great success and my life is back to normal. Now i am 9 weeks pregnant. I did switch to dr Randell to be my Ob . I trust him, I know i am in good hands.MY OB for 6 years was the sweetest person ever, gentle and kind but she didnt take my health issues seriously. She didn't diagnosed me correctly, Dr Randell did. he may not chat or laugh with you but he will take care of your health. I will take that. Dr Randell is great, and he is not writing that review,
In September 2010, Dr. Randell performed a robotic myomectomy to remove my 9.2 cm fibroid, with other smaller ones. Consulting with Dr. Randell and ultimately having him perform surgery on me was one of the best decisions of my life. I had consulted with other doctors who told me my only option was a hysterectomy and that in fact, I probably "wouldn't have much uterus left" if a myomectomy was attempted. Dr. Randell removed my large fibroid and reconstructed my uterus. He also diagnosed me with a clotting disorder that my regular ob/gyn missed -- very important information to have when you are contemplating surgery! Now 8 weeks post-op, I consider myself fully recovered and feel great. Dr. Randell, his office staff, and the staff at Northside hospital were amazing. Everything went perfectly, I had minimal blood loss (had also been warned by other doctors of the large blood loss usually incurred during myomectomy) and was back at work in two weeks. Very little pain involved post-op. I would recommend Dr. Randell to anyone who has a large fibroid and has been told a hysterectomy is their only option. I am totally pleased. If you visit him, tell him the lady sent you who had the "perfect" surgery!
After reading some of these review I feel the need to correct the record. I am now on my 2nd pregnancy with Dr. Randell and my experience could not be better. He is always professional, straightforward and has never treated me like "just another patient". Dr. Randell has taken the time to make me and my husband feel at ease during both pregnancies by always making himself available when we have emergencies, keeping us informed at every stage, and even personally returning phone calls and emails. We are so thankful to have found Dr. Randell and would recommend him to anyone looking for the best care with a sincere and personal touch.
I think he is sick and out to get money by telling women that they can't have children. For example: he intentionally scheduled my day 21 test on the 19th day. Which meant that my test would come back stating that I was not ovulating/can't get pregnant. I watched him count out 19 days 3 different times and I thought it was protocal. When I discovered the mistake they tried to convince me that the test was still valid. After I did my research I found the test was garbage/invalid. Of course I was not ovulating it was done on the wrong day! In my heart I feel like it was a ploy to do more procedures on me. Found a new doctor turns out I WAS ovulating and am now pregnant. DON'T TRUST HIM WITH YOUR BODY!He is a sick person his demeanor is very sketchy. He also writes his own reviews.
I suffered with fibriods for over 5 years with the last year being the absolute worst. I would "take to my bed" for 2+ days each month or pop Advil like they were tic taks just to make it. I visited one world renowned Doc who does not take insurance who told me he could do my case for around $15,000. Another Doctor said my case was too complex for laperscopy and I should do an open myomectomy. Both of those options were out. I did more research and found the DiVinci robotic myomectomy system. Through them I found Dr. Randell. Dr. Randell was able to see me quickly and assured me that he could do the surgery robotically and it would be minimally invasive. My experience was wonderful!! He and his staff was caring and explained everything thoroughly. My surgery was a breeze. I had mild discomfort the day of the surgery and went home the next day. I stayed in bed for about 5 days, but I must confess the last day or so was because I enjoyed my husband waiting on me hand and foot! I even started a new job less than 2 weeks after the surgery and no one could believe it! I probably could have started a week after the surgery. A former coworker happened to be having surgery (non-robotic) at the same time that I was and she was off work for 8 weeks. The best thing was when I had my first period after the surgery. I cried, but this time they were tears of joy. Thank you Dr. Randell for giving me my life back!
