Michon's Smoked Meats & Seafood

When I go out to eat, I look for 3 things.good food, good service, good price. I always enjoy my food when i dine at Michons. I typically eat there for lunch and their lunch menu is a good value. The people who work there are great but i have had a couple of occassions where it took longer than I'd like to get my food.

Went for lunch-- the place was not decorated well -- the TV was playing Spongebob for one of the employee's kid. I ordered the salmon. Nothing special. The smoked flavor was there but it was overcooked and not flavorful. The vegetable sides were bland too. I would have enjoyed Longhorn's or Red Lobster more.

This is one of the best places to get great smoked meat. Also has takeout.This place also serve up some good jazz.

I went to a wedding reception there. I thought it was nice. The DJ shouted out the bride and groom. They had smoked wings, salmon, and pasta salad. The food was great especially the wings with the bbq sauce. Eventhough the restaruant was open during the reception it was still an intimate reception without the disruption of regular guests.

I have eaten at Michon's twice. Both times the quality of the food was not worth money I paid for it. It should be as cheap as Mcdonalds. Sorry it should be cheaper because MCD tastes better. It does not taste anything like the cajun or soul food it is supposed to tast like. Overall, the bad quality of the food and the prices makes this a horrible resturant that I can't believe is still in business.
