Spectacular yet intimate, 5/19/2012

My husband had Don Montgomery, the owner, create a spectacular Tahitian peal ring with diamonds made up for me for my fiftieth birthday, graduate school diploma, and our twenty-fifth wedding... anniversary present, all of which occurred the same year. Don has the most fabulous huge Tahitian pearls, which he took out of a velvet bag and showed to me, one by one, under the the twinkling jewelry store lights in the cozy and intimate little shop. Each pearl was a slightly different shade, which Don named as he showed each pearl's unique surface off to me. When I had selected the perfect size (big) and shade (unmatched green), he created a wax model for me to try on a few weeks later. After several fittings, he made up the ring in white gold and gift wrapped it for my husband, and even included an appraisal.\rMigliori isn't for a casual shopper, but rather for the jewelry aficionado with elegant taste and a preference for one of a kind designs or estate pieces. There is a selection of readers in the front room set with different colored Zwarovsky crystals. I cannot wait to go back and get another pair.

What A Little Dump!, 6/02/2006

The sign said estate jewelry and custom designs. Upon entering the store, there was a strong, musty odor. A matronly lady was sitting in a chair, and told me her customers do not come from the... otherside of Peachtree! Whatever that means. I looked inside the jewelry cases and saw nothing but butterflies and ladybug designs. Is this 1960, or what. About that time I felt something warm on my foot, and it was one of her poor little dogs licking my shoes. My $500 shoes were ruined, not to mention the insulting manor of the store owner. Thank God I found the Cartier store and spent $32,000.
