Consistently good, 6/01/2008

We've been going to Miguels around once or twice a month since it opened. While there's plenty of Mexican restaurants around the Lake Forest area ( and we've been to quite a few) Miguels has reliably... provided great quality and good tasting food, to a higher standard than we've found elsewhere. The ambiance is nice, not overdone like some Mexican restaurants, although I recommend sitting away from the ceiling mounted speakers.. The chips are thin, crisp and fresh, with a thin, medium heat salsa, and the Guacamole is excellent. I've had a wide number of selections from the menu, including their tacos, carnitas ( very good) burritos and several of the specialties, the chicken mole and carne asada are very well done, as are the fajitas and fish. We used to drive to Chevy's in Irvine until it closed, and Miguels is the only place we've been to since that we'd be willing to go out of the way for if we had too. The staff has been consistently friendly and professional also. There are many good value items on the menu and they have a great bar.

Great mexican food!, 7/28/2006

Huge margaritas, crispy taquitos, sizzling fajitas, and the best beef enchiladas I've ever had. Ask for the pico de gallo when they bring you chips, ...
